Monday's racing comes from Fakenham and Musselburgh over the jumps and Lingfield on the polytrack.

1.00 Fakenham - Ericht to continue Mr Henderson's excellent form. His form at the top table entitles him to take this lowly event.

2.00 Fakenham - Cross Of Honour was impressive in landing a jumpers bumper at Kempton and can continue his progression over fences

3.30 Fakenham - Terre Du Vent was tried at the highest level on her first 2 starts and this looks like a nice opportunity for a confidence-boosting victory

3.20 Mullseburgh - AP hangs around to ride Lord Of Tara for Tony Martin in the bumper ;)

Lucky 15.

Best of luck everyone <ok>

Oddy, good morning!
I like those selections but I think the evens about Ericht on Betfair offers a simple opportunity of doubling your money.
Re. yesterday, I was impressed with Flemenstar- he had the race won a long way out- but a bit disappointed that Russell didn't give Sir Des Champs a more enterprising ride, to make use of his stamina.
What do you think?

Morning Oddy, not sure how it is in the Fatherland but its freezing on the way to work here this morning.

Terre Du Vent looked a potentially nice type but had confidence knocked when falling at the last in a hot Kempton event.

Hopefully she can bounce back.

Next big antepost market shakeup could be when Grandouet returns at the weekend in the international hurdle at Cheltenham <ok>

At least you have Flemenstar covered at nice odds :)

Any update on Last Instalment, anyone?

Toppy I should've been on a plane to Heathrow now but Lufthansa cancelled it <doh> we had about 6 inches of snow yesterday but the real reason is a strike by ground staff.

Tam - I agree fully with the sentiments in this article re Flemenstar <ok> I might sound harsh but I think SDC was exposed yesterday. I always felt him lucky to be unbeaten - Knockfierna would've given him a real race if she hadn't run out, and SDC was very lucky to stay on his feet at the last in April, when his 2 nearest pursuers fell at the last. And some scribes had the cheek to proclaim his 36 length victory <laugh>

Some cracking racing between now and Christmas, which makes a change - usually the run-up to Christmas is pretty poor. Grandouet is certainly very interesting but he'll need to win handsomely in the International to shake up the CH market I feel.

I should apologise to Galaxy in advance!!

1.20 Picansort EW

This is a horse I have been interested in for a good while, since running in the sprint series at Lingfield that was won by Aldermoor, and I think he is on a winnable mark and clearly he wasn't right when we last saw him. He has had a break and he comes into the race with a good chance in my opinion, and if he returns to his Sandown form he would win this. He doesn't win as many as he should so I have done the EW bet, but he will pop in this winter and could go on a winning run.

3.10 Lastkingofscotland

I was really taken by his run last time out and I think this race is easier and he is a consistent sort who can follow up that performance. A return to the form he showed behind Aldermoor over CD would make him the one to beat, and I think with Kirsty on top he can go in today. He runs well for lady jocks and is on a fair mark on last years efforts.

3.40 Dancing Welcome EW

A horse I like and showed enough last time to suggest that he is coming back to himself. He has Kingscote back in the saddle which is a positive and he is weighted to run well. He is a course and distance winner and he could skip away from them if given the right ride. Mark looks about right and should have a good EW squeek.

Morning, crew. On this most momentous day in the racing calendar it’s all about the forum’s favourite trainer and I really hope he has a great day. I would love to see him have a treble at Fakenham but, as I said on the other thread, my head is saying that TERRE DU VENT should be a ‘party pooper’ and looks the one to be on in the ‘lucky last’ (3.30). As has already been detailed she is Listed winner on the level and was deemed good enough to make her timber debut at Grade 2 level. In this class today she really should oblige, people.

Meanwhile, how Awesome with a capital ‘A’ was Sprinter Sacre at the weekend! As expected the supposed ‘dual’ in reality, to use a footballing analogy, turned into a clash between The Arsenal and Chippenham Town!

Good luck, all.

I'll be looking for Pure Style to run well in the next at Musselburgh as he was annihilated by my horse to follow, Empiracle, in a bumper a couple of months back. He has since run a fine 2nd to Mr Henderson's Polly Peachum and then hosed up in a jumpers bumper at Kempton. The one I would be wary of, and who could go very well at a nice price, is Kevin Ryan's Flaming Arrow. He had the misfortune to come up against some very nice tyes in 3 bumpers last season (including The New One, Up To Something, Ifyousayso) and it will be fascinating to see how he goes here off the back of a long break.

Missed all the weekends racing. Saw that my tip Aland Islands didn't win as expected on Saturday. Don't know why.

Ericht will win now but Ballymachillcross (or however it's spelt) may run well at 15/2 for an each way alternative.

Well done fellow Sprinter Sacre backers. It's not often i say a 1/2 shot is value but he was on paper and he was in the race. Easy as you like. If you backed Sanctuaire you can't say you weren't warned!

Flemenstar - unbelievable by all accounts. To beat Rubi Light like he was a crap handicapper says it all. Destined for the very top.

Oddy, the next question has to be will he one day be calling him greater than Arkle?!? Look out people for any poster calling themselves ‘Sacre Supreme’ in the near future.

Well done to the ‘birthday boy’. That’s 1/1. I would envisage that bookie chappies up and down the Isle are quaking in their boots now as on this special day punters will have combined Mr Henderson’s trio in doubles and trebles and if all 3 oblige they could face a huge payout.

For 2 in a row I fancy Hazy tom to prevail in a fairly hot chase now.

Yes Ardent. Outridden by a really good Maquire ride. Noel opened the door for him though. Annoying.
