We just need to complete the day, I hate it when we are holding on with a 1 goal lead.

It is hard to listen to this, we need to keep disciplined as we can't afford suspensions.

Must admit I enjoyed the Cover it Live on the OFFICIAL SITE. Makes up for the site I was banned from, also no judgement made on be by an independent judicator. Plus Gary is on there, always a top bloke for Gills related stats & stuff. So now I can keep up to date with the action live and listen to Gills Player commentary to get the feel of the game. And of course not606 to discuss our views.

I'm assuming you've got this adjudicator to look at the reasons you were banned. Did that site have to agree to it, and have you any idea why you were banned, and will they have to abide by the out come? Hope it turns out right for you, because there does appear to be an injustice there.

I meant in relation to the O/S no independent judging me. Cheers just the same vinney. Trouble is I am a stubborn git and refuse at my age to change my id or move my ip to regain access - I am who I am. I did receive a response and refuse to reply in anger but will never forget. I believe in remaining true to myself. I do not pretend to be perfect or completely innocent but question judgement. In the same way I am accountable for my actions in this community and am never afraid to put right a wrong, as adjudged by the WHOLE community. However, I am happy now for finding an alternative and thanked them accordingly. Passionate Gills supporter since 1973.

Good link brb - the jokers on there are critical that we 'only' took 500. One idiot even expects them to 'take about a 1,000 to Gillingham as usual' or words to that effect. I doubt they've had 1,000 here in total in their last 10 visits. He or she must have forgotten that they only managed to take 3,000 odd on the massive, time-zone crossing, over-night stay demanding 8 mile round trip to the Don Valley Stadium. Plumbs. My mate and I were getting some real grief heading back to our cars after the game - I can't believe they felt so hard done by. On previous trips to Rotherham I've always found their fans to be quite decent but it's like a bizarre version of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers we're the town's folk have all taken on the charm and personality of Steve Evans. They are now my team of choice to miss out on the autos on the final day and then lose the play-off final. Where they will presumably have 75,000 fans.

brb - read the link - not really impressed. ( with the whingers - not you ! )
I will accept that we were lucky to have got all 3 points. Millers had a lot of possession and our defenders, especially Fish & Martin had to work hard to keep out their crosses. ( hence the corner count ) I will accept that a draw would have been kinder to Rotherham - but if you don't turn possession into goals - and are sloppy at the back - you shouldn't be surprised if you don't win. Credit to the Gills players for making it difficult for Rotherham to break us down.
Without prejudice I thought the refereee was very generous to Rotherham -for a lot of the game he gave it only one way ( not for Gills ) - I will concede that there was an element of time wasting - but this is normal - and was added on at the end of the game ( 14 minutes extra time .) As for us being physical - well that's a joke. It was a fiercely contested game - by both sides. I think that Charlie Allen was entitled to go down after being kicked in the face - and as for the challenge on Vincelot - so late it nearly arrived on Sunday.

Got they are sad, bitter and twisted, I think that is what you call sour grapes, I think it is funny at the start where one says "That was just purely digusting. And it isn't just sour grapes".
Was he trying to convince us that he is not bitter?

Unbelievably there is now thread on that Rotherham site suggesting that Vincelot was conning the ref and just trying to stop their momentum, having seen the challenge on the TV he was very lucky to have left hospital last night. Did anyone see the alleged elbow incident involving Burton?

AshfordGill to answer your question - I didn't ( if it happened ! ) - but, allegedly it was in the 17 th minute -when Burton would have been furthest from the Gills' fans end.
I am surprised that some Rotherham fans have not previously seen a 'physical' game of football. I will not deny that, as the game progressed Gills became more robust in their challenges. This was probably due to the fact that Rotherham players, in the first half, committed the same sort of fouls as we did - but more often were unpunished. I would think that the Gills players became frustrated at the inequity. Maybe they responded by being more strong - BUT - this was never a dirty game - far from it - despite the appalling assault on Vincelot.
Rotherham can feel a little upset at not winning the game. They had so much more attacking threat than Gills - but - as I have already said - you need to turn possession to Goals - otherwise you might get caught by a couple of sucker punches.
The time wasting was understandable - I hate it when used against us - but ALL teams have employed the tactic. The referee actually took early action against Nelson & Lee with a yellow card ( when @ Priestfield this usually only happens in the 99th minute - if at all .)

Maybe Rotherham fans should look more closely at what other supporters say about their team AWAY from home. before casting the verbal stones in our direction.

    Saturday 24th November 2012.

Exeter 0-1 Rotherham, all of these comments were from different posters on another message board:

    1. They played it dirty & it paid off.Didnt think we got going upfront today. Was it a mistake to put O'Flynn on?Someone more match fit on a wet, muddy pitch could have been more suitable.

    2. Rottherham were dirty as hell!!

    3. Nah...Time wasters & gamesmanship as you would expect from a Steve Evans team, but 1-0 up away from home,no worse than other teams...

    4. Yeah they were dirty, worse as the game were on. Must have wasted 10 mins after they scored also, typical Evans team, I wouldn't want to support sh.. like that.

    However, to balance the view...

    5. All these people moaning about Rotherham being dirty need to man up. It's football, you win at all costs. Apart from two late tackles then I didn't see anything dirty. They took an age with every break in play and it was so frustrating but that's part of football now, it's not nice but it's effective and I wish we would try it sometimes.

Jack was substituted halfway through the 2nd half. I thought that Charlie Allen should have been the choice - he was not having a good day, and it did seem that the midfield / defence became a lot more twitchy after Payne was taken off - and Allen's poorish performance was more obvious from that point in the game.
Of course - others in this forum will point out that Kedwell started another winning game !
