Short and sweet, but i do feel some of you chaps need to take stock of a couple of FACTOIDS ! Firstly, and i am sorry to remind you that Manchester united are running away with the premier league. THAT'S WHAT BIG CLUBS DO ! Ahem. I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that Hull city afc (that little puddle of **** in Humberside,as you might call it) have been the "PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE" for a while now. Mainly though, this thing about don't you care about us. Do i detect a little bit of bull**** here ? Threads for the Hull fans ? Exodus seems particulary irked of late. Discuss, and good luck with your new billionaire owner thing. I never should have posted this,it's all been said before.
Man U buying themselves another title to add to the rest of their cheapened gongs, whoop. What qualifies Hull to be pride of Yorkshire? Admittedly they were for a brief spell (that half season when you were actually any good) in the top flight, but since then it's been stale mediocrity, and without the profile of Sheffield Wednesday, the history of Huddersfield, the character of Bradford or Barnsley, the academy of Sheff United or Middlesbrough, the passionate support of York, or the greatness of Leeds which includes all of those facets (profile, history, character, fanbase and academy), I'd just lump you in with Yorkshire's newbuild, unsuccessful, tinpot plodders like Donny. I'd love to be told what's so special about your club, which is usually thought of as nothing more than the laughing stock of Yorkshire (if anyone bothers to lavish any attention on it whatsoever).
Do try to stay calm Geo,i was only pointing out that Manchester united are doing particulary well, and that Hull City Afc seem to have overtaken the Sheffield clubs as the leading clubs in Yorkshire in recent years. If i'm wrong,i mean if i have the facts arse about face,i'm sorry. There's no need to get upset.
Yes, they are probably the loudest home fans in Yorkshire. Do a YouTube search for 'Jorvik Reds' if you don't believe me. In a word, yes. But that's for reasons of principle, not fleeting pragmatism. And I was only pointing out that there are several serious things which should be used to qualify those statements, because it's not as black and white as you were making it out to be.
I've been to Bootham Crescent plenty of times, they do that embarrassing 'Ohhhhh, you're ****' thing when a 'keeper takes a goal kick, that only ****e clubs do. Good that you admit how bitter you are regarding Man Utd.
Embarrassing no. Immature, a bit pathetic, but funny at the time yes. Come on man lighten its football fans. Theres not many about these days with rising prices and the increase in the prawn sandwich brigade.
Never seen it be funny, only cringe-worthy. Your logic is ... because there's less football fans nowadays I should be more inclined to not complain about crap chants?
Because they're scum's little bitches - the dumping ground for their unwanted cast-offs and the testing ground for their third-rate 'could bes' who they don't deem worthy of a stint at official feeder club Royal Antwerp or another top flight side.
Isn't banter supposed to be funny? I don't call you 'TWS', but I wouldn't really say it's cringe-worthy just a bit petty, like when Leeds fans call us 'Dull', no real point in it.
Must hurt to know that Man Utd's unwanted cast-offs and third-rate 'could bes' are better than your first team then.
