Racing on Friday comes from Sandown and Exeter over the jumps and Lingfield and Dundalk on the old polytrack. 1.10 Sandown: Thanks For Coming. Nicky Henderson's gelding finished a respectful 14 lengths 2nd to Overturn over 2 miles here and that should put him well clear of these on bare form. He is yet to encounter ground with this much give but the same can be said of his main rivals and 3/1 looks a decent price for a Henderson / Geraghty horse at this level. 1.45 Sandown: Taquin De Seuil. Finished a close 2nd to My Tent Or Yours on hurdles debut and I think that is very, very solid form. The Nicholls horse could be anything and has the beating of the McCain horse on bumper form but I think Jonjo and McCoy will take this one. 2.20 Sandown: Bold Sir Brian (NAP). Absolutely love this fella to bits and he looked very, very good on his seasonal reappearance. It's a long way down to Sandown from Lucinda Russell's yard and I don't think it will be a wasted journey. 3.30 Sandown: Tanerko Emery can quickly recover losses from Cheltenham's open meeting in this much more winnable race. He was outbattled up the hill by Ifandbutwhynot at Cheltenham but will come on again for that and he still looks fairly treated. Lucky 15. Best of luck to everyone - hopefully we can all rack up some ammunition for a cracking weekend's racing
Lots of shrewd money for MONKERTY TONKERTY tomorrow 2.55 Sandown. Needed the race last time out but hopefully spot on now. I think this horse is seriously well handicapped. Hunter Chase form has been undervalued by the handicapper! We shall see.
All over NEBULA STORM 20-1 3.30 Sandown tomorrow. Decent hurdles debut over 17f then didnt last home over 23f & 19f. Dropped back to a stiff 2m this time which I reckon will suit him admirably. Decent level of form on the flat, ran Fame And Glory to 1/2 length! I think those crafty Moore's have plotted this one up.
thin on the ground for me tomorrow. mostly ew efforts as usual: EXE 12:30 ripoff 6/1 1:00 fingal bay 1/6 win, terrible odds 1:30 ammunition 6/1 miss fleur 25/1 who tends to place on this type of ground/distance 2:05 key to the west 26/5 3:15 royal chatelier 6/1 SAN 1:10 preuty boy 16/1 ground/distance reasons prince buster 11/1 1:45 up and go 9/2 only 5 run at the moment though 2:55 satou 6/1 although i agree on monkerty tunkerty's chances as already posted best of luck everyone
1.30 Exeter - GRADUATION NIGHT @ 12/1(May be bigger) 1.55 Lingfield - SAKHEES PEARL @ 4/1 Both back down to their last winning marks and ran with credit last time out. Good luck all!
Nah. As someone on the old 606 used to say (Shergar I think): "Now is the time to bet like men". Miss that fella sometimes. Gutted if Hendo pulls him out though, but reading Sp Life yesterday he seemed to be saying SS runs whatever the ground as he only has 3 targets this year - Tingle Creek, Victor Chandler and Champion Chase.
Nice juvenile hurdle at 1.50- Up and Go for me at 4/1, but Southfield Theatre one to keep an eye on as it progresses over obstacles.
Today was going to be a no bet day, but in that competitive hurdle at Sandown with just 5 runners, I just had to have a small interest at 20-1 (Hills) on Dunlough Bay
Bold Sir Brian NAP 2.20 will be difficult to beat by all accounts worked and progressed again since Carlisle.
3.05 Forest Edge @ 2/1 This looks like one of those races which is perfectly set up for one of the runners, and that is Forest Edge of David Evans' yard. Six are due to go to post, and only one of them likes to race with the pace, that one is Forest Edge, and I think he will be able to dictate the race from the front. Adam Kirby needs to get him out and organised from the off and then he can moderate the pace to his advantage. If he does he surely will win this race.
Morning, all. Hope everyone well. In my opinion racing so far this week has been Poor with a capital ‘P’ and there has been nothing worthy of an investment but fret no longer regular readers as today I’ll nominate: Honour (1.55 Lingers Park) – what a lovely name for a filly by the way. Honour is also a very well bred filly being a daughter of Dansili and a half sister to both Iceman and Virtual so you can guarantee that the Cheveley Park Stud will be looking to get a win into her prior to dispatching the old girl to the breeding shed. Sir Michael’s 3YO makes her handicap bow here off a perch of 70 following 3 runs in maidens. Third in both her heats this year Honour looks more than capable of obliging here off such a rating given her efforts to date and the fact that many of her rivals appear either out of form or too high in the old weights. On her debut in 2012 the filly put up a most respectable run to be beaten just over a length by Afraah, off levels. This latter one has since gone on to enhance the form with another win and then was just pipped last time out off a rating of 82, I say 82. Honour on 70, on this form line then, looks most appealing, methinks. Last time up Sir Michael’s charge, just over 2 weeks ago, ran another promising race as the front 3 pulled well clear of the rest of the field. I really do believe she will go very close in this one today, people. Good luck to all.
