    Poor defending for their goal, one of the should have picked up Diabate. We haven't created any clear cut chances yet.

    Our backup to the first team is worryingly poor. On that pitch, i only feel comfortable with Elliot and Perch. Bigi, Fergie and Marveaux are yet to fully convince me although they aren't terrible.

    The rest, in my opinion are ****.

    Extremely poor first half. What does Pardew see in Sammi Ameobi? I know he's only young but he's a long way off the first team for me.

    Only just turned the game on right before they scored, and so far I've noticed:

    -Ranger has been woeful. No talent, but all the attitude, what a tosser that little boy is.
    -Perch has been a disaster, confirming to me what several of us have already pointed out. He's a poor CB when he hasn't got someone better than Willo next to him. That goal was all his fault, truly horrifying defending...
    -Sammy works really hard, great bit of skill and lots of pace on the ball.
    -Marv looking ok, but struggling to get the ball

    Anyone been watching longer wish to correct me?

    I hate to say it because I really dislike the fella, but Ranger is useful. Holds it well but they aren't getting up on top to support him quick enough. His passing is **** though. Marveaux needs to get himself on the ball. Disappointed with Abeid to be honest, looks a bit weak and game has passed him by. Perch terrible on the cross and Fergie pathetic too. Neither is truly comfortable filling those roles. Perch can't judge a cross and Fergie has no idea how to give his centre half cover, it was like a perfect storm to expose it that cross. Sammy is no where near ready. Now and again there is a nice bit of skill but majority of the time he just loses the ball.

    Shola is very very quiet too strangely. Bigi looks good, Tav has been solid and so too dare I say has Willo.

    "Mike Williamson was booked for shoving David Bellion to the floor just before half-time, the referee waved play on but eventually showed the defender the yellow card when the game paused. Very little threat from Newcastle, who will finish second in the group to Bordeaux if the score stays like this."
