Scott Sinclair was a name often discussed during the summer at the Football Transfer Tavern following his move to Manchester City, and now Charles Perrin of The Express has told punters that he expects him to be on the move once more. The ex-Swansea City man has struggled since his move to the Etihad and has hardly featured for Roberto Manciniâs men this season. The fact he has only made one Premier League start has left the Team GB star looking for a way out, less than six months after completing his transfer. Harry Redknapp is thought to be an admirer of the winger, and will look to bring him to QPR in January as he bids to save them from relegation. Redknapp has been told he is free to bring players in during the next transfer window, and Sinclair is reportedly amongst his top targets. The question remains as to why Manchester City signed him in the first place? Would they be happy to sell him in the next transfer window?
I think pride may make scott want to stay until at least the summer then i predict he will move on a season long loan or go to another club, being at man city gives him a better chance of maintaining his hgh wages if another club comes calling, but i also think he isnt stupid and pretty much knew he would not figure much up there. QPR on loan might be damaging to his reputation as well,if they ended up going down there will be a stigma attached to him highlighted by the fact the Swans are coping very well without him, all of a sudden commanding 55k a week elsewhere will become a problem. I guess it comes down to his misses and what money is on offer, i think money is important to him and also status too. I loved scott down here but i always thought that he considered us beneath his talent and like he was doing us a favour by being here,in fairness to him he came and backed his talent and did fantastic for us,i will always wish him well for what he did for our club.
I just can't understand why so many managers and players leave the Swans to join inferior teams. Oh well, their choice.
Swansea are the only one of his many clubs where he hasn't been dogshit. He should have remembered that before he chose to leave.
I don't think he's struggled at Man C. He's done exactly what was expected - warmed the bench, played the odd start now and again, sub'd on when Mancini was desperate. why would he want to go.
Totally agree. This move was obviously for the money, probably with added pressure from his missus to locate to a more convenient spot...... for her. If the relationship doesn't last, Scotty will be left high and dry but at least, he will reason, in complete comfort given his inflated bank balance.
How do you know his bank balance is inflated .... she doesn't look like a cheap date ... I bet she's burning through it faster than he make it - perhaps he's even having to polish boots at the training ground to make lunch.
He probably had to pay ITV a fortune to get them to cart her off to the jungle so he could have some peace and quiet.
Hopefully,Scott will have had some guidance, and locks away a good percentage of his earnings for the future. Good luck to the lad. Some people seem to have a down on him for wanting to improve his lot in life, and I really cannot understand that. Jealousy perhaps? He did us proud and we shouldn't EVER forget his massive contribution. Without his goals we would still be playing teams like Cardiff.
you have to wonder what his actual contract says - you will be paid x per prem match, x per bench etc etc, who knows
