Swansea top of the league for rodents, with over 40 vermin related call-outs a day THE Pied Piper could be living in Swansea, the Welsh Conservatives have quipped, following figures showing the council made more rodent-related call-outs in the last two years than any other Welsh authority. Its pest control officers made 31,000 visits in 2008/9 and 2009/10 said the party â an average of more than 40 per day â on the back of 11,000 vermin-related calls. ​ Rhondda Cynon Taff made the second highest number of visits, with 27,000. The figures were released following a Freedom of Information request. Darren Millar, Assembly Member for Clwyd West, claimed rats and mice were running rampant in Wales. "And with 31,000 visits to deal with rodent infestations in Swansea alone, local residents must be wondering whether the Pied Piper is living in the city," he joked. Mr Millar said he believed that getting on top of issues like litter and fly-tipping could keep a lid on rodent numbers. "Large rodent problems are unhealthy and costly, and we need to target the causes to get rid of them," he said. Shadow Minister for Local Government, Jonathan Morgan AM, said he welcomed the efforts that some councils have already made to cut the number of rodent infestations. Swamp is,and has always been in my opinion,a very poor mans profit,lacking the guile and intellect,but equal in terms of anti Swansea venom. With Swansea apparently top of the league for rodents,it's little wonder that john hughs gained access to the university.
And it just be that the pest control department is much better at its job than elsewhere! Seems we Are better than them at everything These days.. Any thoughts on deleting the thread guys? My own view is that it should stay up just to remind jacks of the bitterness fostered by those up the road and the fact its killing them we Are premier league on the pitch..and in pest kontroll off the pitch!

I Asked the question on comment 9 jackswan, threw it out There to my fellow jaks, so far 2 have no objection to it staying, 1 wants it removed, the rest have no opinion on the matter. As acting MOD im more than happy to throw it in the bin,as a poster of not606 and without my MODS hat on im happy for it to stay as it shows the bitterness held towards us from those up east. its a timely reminder of the days when they were camped on our boards gloating about how they were bigger ,better, in a higher division and had loads of money ! For me its an example of what Will happen when they Get to the prem league,the trolls Will return in massive numbers on here and make this forum almost unbearable like the old606, a timely reminder of how bitter some r people Are of the swans doing well is not so bad, it just tells us how far we have come as a club and a city when our rivals need to search newspapers and media stories to Find something to beat us with,it shows how desperate These people Are to try spoil our time in the elite division and try and drag us down to petty tit for tat school boy rubbish, truth is nobody in swansea Even cares about them up the road anymore and they Are throwing their toys out the pram trying to Get our attention. The fact only about 10 people have commented just shows how far we have left them behind, they yern for us to give them attention but nobody really cares. Cardiff city died last year,we killed the bluebirds off,they had to start all over again with a different badge and a different Jersey and rebrand everything. Enjoy the bitterness they show and let it remind us all of how far we have moved on
