get him off the wage bill and buy someone who can actually hit the target....A striker who cant find the net on a regular basis is like trying to make a cup of tea with a chocolate teapot....We are a football club not a charity and if you cant do your job at work you would be sacked. at least he will get paid loads with a move to a club better suited...
Who hates Danny? I don't ....all i want is a striker who don't go on as many barren runs as he does, He is well out of his depth. Thats no good to us, Do you think we would be where we are now if Danny was playing and not michu??? I think not....I told you all that once we get someone who can finish that Danny would be dropped and if he stays then he will be a bench warmer coming on to either give someone a rest as the game is won or if we are loosing heavily and he throws on a couple of so called strikers in place of midfielders to try and boost our efforts...well it has not worked yet and never will...He really needs to go back to the championship where he is comfortable.....time to off load and bring in quality that can play to the standard that we require.
Logic being that he is not good enough. He freezes in front of goal one on one, and I can't remember him ever scoring with a header. We are where we are this year without his help. Yes he works hard/nice lad etc, but his job is to put the ball in the net. I seriously doubt he would have scored either of Michu's goals against Arsenal. If we got 5 or 6 million for him, I would 100% trust ML to get a better replacement.
He is just down on confidence, once he hits his stride he will do well...he had a cracking pre season which is why his current form baffles me! but we shouldnt sell him, even if we buy another one as Michu is better behind the striker, Graham is better than Moore and Schecter is only on loan! If he is low on confidence then leave him out the team (unlike the pricks in charge of the rugby!), best way to do it, let him regain some form in training. I think it would be worth sticking some money on him still to reach 10 goals this season (neck is firmly sticking out with that one!)
Danny played 90mins for the under 21's last night, along with Kyle Bartley, so he will at least make the bench against Norwich He scored 1 goal too.
