Ditto, and i was in line with the incident. Most people near me were quite hesitant and we're quite amused how we'd got away with it. I really need to slow it down to see whether it did hit his arm or not. But non of the footage is from behind the goal.
Well thats that then! McShane would admit it if he put it in with his hand, I mean why wouldn't you admit your 1st goal in 4 years actually should have been disallowed?
I honestly didn't at the time and still don't think it's handball. It seems to come off his shoulder and on to their player and then in, more of an own goal if anything. Mcshane's reaction on tigers player says a lot, he's very certain it's not handball and you can tell by his tone he means it. Like most people say though, it doesn't matter anyway now.
Come on, we all know Macca, he would have admitted it to be handball if it was. I'm delighted for him and he has also said in the interview that he's coming towards his peak and I sort of agree, he's not a PL defender, he's at his level now and he's got a lot of heart. He's doing very well nobody can take that away from him.
Why wouldn't he? Goal was given, it's not like they can retrospectively take the points from us can they?
He would've admitted if it was a handball. Though he might not of known it hit his hand - heat of the moment and all that...
The only people who think it was handball are those who thought so from behind the goal when they saw it live. I think it happened way too fast for anyone in the away stand to see that. I didn't even know it was McShane and there's nothing wrong with my eyesight. The replays show his arm doesn't come up at all until after the ball has hit the net, so unless he for some reason decided to use his arm right in front of his chest/stomach just for a laugh then I don't think it was. There is nothing on the replay that even suggests a chance of it being handball.
I actually missed the goal because we were having some banter with the upper tier of the Forest fans. The replays look as though he punched the ball in :L
Didn't see their team sheet. Was it Camp in goal for them? He is such a whinging bastard he would claim handball if it was volleyed in from the half way line.
McShane featured in TEAMtalk's top men http://www.teamtalk.com/hull-city/8305953/Champ-ship-Top-Men-Deadly-Doyle-up-top There was more than a hint of hand-ball about McShane's winner for Hull City at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, but the goal stood and he helped the Tigers to a 2-1 success. The Republic of Ireland international is hardly prolific in front of goal, so he gets the nod for having at least put himself in a position to grab what could prove to be an important effort come the end of the campaign.
What has FC got to do with this thread ? But both topics are the same in that opinion is very much split. The ref (you know the one who really counts) pointed to the middle without delay so he was obviously very happy with it. The linesman also moved away for the goal (not that he would have seen much though from where he was. You need to if you think he did not. That is correct it did by the way. For it to be handball the HAND HAS TO MOVE TO THE BALL for those not still not sure. If the ball hits the hand that is legal. Yes i would think Macca is honest enough to admit that point. But i am in no doubt. Your not wrong there. Looks like he is on his way in January by all accounts. No mystery at all. The goal was given and it won City the game. Time to move on. Watford away next.......
Fact is that he got into a good position between defenders who are bound to appeal to save their embarrassment. Would Hobbs have got there?
