Is the sign of a decent team.

Let's be honest, we really didn't deserve to win that, but we've been on more than our fair share of bad luck this season, so I feel we deserved it.

I thought Tettey had his worst game in a while- is in desperate need of a rest. Likewise Snodgrass and Johnson. All three of them run so much, three games in a week was bound to take its toll. Pilks was better though and I'm astonished that Hoolahan has managed to keep his energy levels and form up for so long!

We didn't play badly, Sunderland did. We weren't great but we certainly weren't bad.

We're a lot more assured at the back and when boxed in we managed to get our shape back, that was the key to winning this game as for 15 minutes Sunderland had us pressed so far into our box that our own players were getting in each others way, retaining possession was impossible.

The system needs a bit of mixing up but it is winning us games at the moment, I would like to Elliot Bennett brought in for Snodgrass.

We were the better team in the 1st half, they were the better team the 2nd half. A point would have been fair, but in the end we held on and got a hard fought out 3pts.

I said on a different thread that if that is the case (and it's far from ideal) then take him off and give Simeon Jackson a run out - at least his extra pace would stretch them a bit more at the end of a match and keep a couple of defenders pinned in their own half <ok>

I suppose I should adjust that to winning when you don't deserve to.

Makes up for the Wham, QPR, Tottenham and Villa matches where we dominated but couldn't get the three points.
