We need to get behind the lads more than ever.

On a freezing cold Monday night in Newcastle, 50 thousand fans will gather to watch a game that could very well decide the course of our future. Fans will come in their winter clothing, grasping a hot flask of tea and a pie, battling against the cruel weather that is surely to be present on a nervy night on Tyneside.

It is a must win game, a game that could revive the faith in Toon fans across the globe... or it could destroy whatever is left of our spirit, if Wigan should happen come away with a victory.

It seems like the perfect setting for an epic night, or a horror story.

We NEED to get behind the lads more than ever now, and I know that's a bit of a cliche, but it's really true. They need support.

 

Couldn't have said it better myself, hope if it's 0-0 after 30 mins the crowd stay with the team.

 

Can I not just sit in my normal seat?



Better if all four stands are occupied rather than everyone behind, presumably in the Leazes End one half and the Gallowgate in the other half?

We go down 1-0 at any time, it'll be a pretty horrible atmosphere (and we obviously won't win ). Not only is this must win, I really think it's a MUST clean sheet as well, if there is such a thing I shall of course sing my heart out (until such a point as we start losing, then I'll deploy my tear-duct's disney-reserves to get the game flooded off)...

1-0. I'm sticking to that belief.

However the nature of our support will always mean when we're in a bad trot, if we go 1-0 down, the atmosphere in part becomes negative and tense. We're an emotional lot.

 

If we win, a big gap seems to open up below us. If we lose, a big gap appears above us.

Should be a cracker...

 

Which means it'll be a draw

 

If delusion won things, we'd win everything going.

It's not tied down so it's not a kangaroo, I'd have to go for a bush baby.

 

It's one of them horrible nights that come around every so often........must win is absolutely true but for me it's the overall performance that needs to be evident. If we scrape a 1-0 and we play terrible then yes it's a good 3 points but it fills me with no confidence for the next 5 games.

 

We need to get back on track after West Ham, Swansea, Southampton and Stoke.

Certainly don't want to go in freefall.
