Just got back from the game and trying to relax by watching a little ‘wallpaper’ television but, for the life of me, I can’t wipe the big cheesy grin off of my face. I would go out for a walk to calm me down, but am afraid I would frighten passers by as I can’t stop myself from breaking into maniacal fits of laughter every few minutes. At this rate I may be sectioned and locked in a padded cell well before Match of the Day starts.

I thought last season was good but this one is actually surpassing it. I would go onto the world wide interwebby thing and read match reports, but feel I may once more stumble across the Laudrup interview where he says he expects us to get better in the second half of the season – I fear this may well send me into a coma – as it is, on returning home, I had to spend half an hour in a darkened room in the foetal position. I really don’t think I can stand any more excitement.

So many ‘benchmarks’ were set last season, the only one that evaded us was beating a ‘big’ team away from home; this season we have beaten Liverpool, Newcastle and Arsenal in their backyards already! And our ability to roll with the punches has really impressed me; Brenda and little Joey leave, Gylfi ‘who?’ moves on and what do we do? Bank a huge wadge of cash and bring in bargain replacements that are infinitely better! Neil T gets injured and young Ben takes centre stage and performs as if he has been there all his life! Michel V gets injured and Gerhard steps in and makes a very good case for being our number 1 when the mighty Vorm returns to full fitness! There are stories like this throughout the squad, never have I seen a Swansea squad who look to have so much quality in every position; Tiendalli makes a cameo today and fits in effortlessly! Was there ever a better time to be a Jack? Excuse me for a few minutes as I fear I have worked myself up into such a state of arousal that I may have to spend a few minutes of ‘quality’ time in the bathroom! ;)

But toilet humour aside, can any of my fellow Jacks remember a time when everything in the garden looked so rosy? Today we ‘out footballed’ British football’s greatest exponents of the passing game. When I was on the coach returning from Wembley after ‘that’ game I thought ‘great, a year watching the best teams in the country visiting our very own Liberty stadium – enjoy the ride, get the money and run back to the Championship – Carpe Deum!!’ But now we look like an established Premier League side that can arguably look up rather than down! Who could have imagined this a few short years ago when we were struggling for survival?

You may have surmised by now that I am quite a happy little Jack – well that is putting it mildly – I am so happy that I think I may have to go and have another little lie down in a darkened room.

Wake me up when Match of the Day starts please – on second thoughts, leave me alone; I really don’t think I can take any more excitement!!!!

The best time to be a Jack was when Doug Sharpe fell over outside the Garibaldi when he got out of his Jag.

Can't remember one ... perhaps 30 years ago when we almost one this league .... but today was priceless.

Tiendelli came on and really looked the part - big, strong, skillful, pace. Chico is just becoming amazing. Young Ben ... pretty much put Walcott into his back pocket. Rangel!!! It's tough to find a weakness today. Whatever ML is doing or saying in training its clearly had a much bigger impact than he who came before.

Tiendalli could be a huge surprise package for us. I would be happy to sign him in January. As you guys have said, he has pace, can pass it, good strength and a terrific attitude. If he can do that week in week out, he'll do for me.
