Rickie we understand you're up for it and fancy a goal, but please stop shooting from 40 yards! Tough spot for Nigel, we need an extra body back, but need a goal so don't want to nullify our attacking threat. But if we push forwards we could be taken to pieces... Think this could end up being a nasty scoreline. Some of the players look tired off the ball already for me.
Yep. Thought Cork has been more disappointing in terms of his passes, and being so ponderous. Hopefully it will be a trademark Saints interval, awful before, then Nige puts a rocket up them for the start of the 2nd half.
Quality header. Nothing Gazzaniga could do about it. Defense actually hasn't been that bad today, considering how often they've been on the backfoot and the degree to which Liverpool have dominated possession. Gazzaniga okay so far as well, good time wasting. Need to start winning midfield by controlling better but honestly don't see that happening. Afraid they are just outclassed today, which isn't unexpected.
They can't get possession at all, worrying, but I'm sure Nige will have a trick up his sleeve. Unfortunately, it's Rodriguez with 10 minutes to go.
