I'd rest Luke Shaw today if I were Adkins. It's not worth risking a long term injury. He's come off 4 games in a row with cramp

Only way he will get used to playing 90 minutes.

You'll be the southern gimp that hasn't got the bottle to repeat that load of old stereotypical shiite to a Liverpool supporter in the Anny Rd end.<whistle>

3 games in 6 days is too much for a 17 year old that keeps getting cramp. I'd agree if it were one game per week

It's 6 just made an adjustment

I'm pretty sure Nigel will bring Shaw along gradually, just as he did with Oxtail-Chamberpot. Great to have found a youngster with such ability in what has been a problem position for us, but the manager knows better than to overface him.

I agree we have to be careful bringing in Shaw, he has done fantastically well so far and we don't want him to burn out, but at the same time our defence has been so much more solid with him and Cork in the side and we all know Fox has some defensive frailities... he would even make Downing look good.

Well I suppose we could just play Fox and throw the game.

Because slightly weakening your side for just one game isn't worth it rather than risking a long term injury for a young player? Besides, we are capable of getting a result with Fox at Left back.

I don't think there is a risk of injury. Shaw has been struggling to play a full 90 minutes, but that doesn't mean he's any more likely to get injured. Fox against Sterling is something I do not want to see.

Unchanged line up. Great, Gazza is in goal. One more error and he has to go surely.

Guessing he'll only play about an hour. He'll also have to feel his way into the game

No Fox on the bench, so otherwise it will be Reeves.

Surprised we haven't made any changes given that it's the third game in six. Need a good showing in the first half, as there could be some tired legs in the second.

Yeah, I literally mean he's invincible. Obviously I meant there is no increased risk of injury, and don't pretend you didn't know that.
