http://www.independent.ie/sport/sterling-would-be-very-foolish-not-to-sign-contract-with-liverpool-says-brendan-rodgers-as-man-city-and-chelsea-hover-3311036.html I would like to see him move on after Liverpool poaching him from us. Nice sell-on clause I hope.
Did Paladini sell him on? It will be 2% of anything over 50m if so. Hopefully its something like Adels 40% clause.
I have a feeling that we will not get anything as he was still a youth player and his parents heads were turned by Liverpool so he went there,I think it is IF he signed the youth forms if not we may get a small compo fee but nothing amazing I hope I'm wrong.
We got money plus addons, I would assume they were liverpool apps, England apps and a sell on fee. Im sure his head would have turned with the offer of money but i really feel he would have been better off here and playing a lot more.
Ermm?? He's a regular at Liverpool and Mark Hughes would have prefered SWP in all probability! I would have loved him to have stayed but he can safely say he made a great career move.
Hes only played 14 games in a bad liverpool side. Hardly a regular and no doubt will be replaced by a £20m signing at some point, it will be proof its a bad career move if he does move on from them so soon.
Sorry but f*** him. At the age of 15 you don't think about conquering the world. You put your head down and work hard for the club that gave you the opportunity in the first place. It's called loyalty. He had plenty of time to make a name for himself with us before moving on. If all he wants is to play for a big club then I hope he becomes a bit part player for the rest of his life.
To be fair he needed the money for child maintenance. Can't really blame a kid for having his head turned if his parents are looking to grab the quick buck. With hindsight you can't say it was a bad move either given Liverpool's horrendous signings now mean he's a regular at 18.
