Has been voted runners up in the Best Design category in Programme Monthly's Programme of the Season Awards. Our publication was described as a "very imaginatively designed issue with lots of nice touches throughout." It was rated as the joint 4th best programme in the Championship behind Brighton, Leicester City and winners Crystal Palace Who votes for these things?
Programme buyers, experts and collectors i would suggest. I like ours Just much prefer the book end types we had. The clubs above us all have the book-end type programmes. Are the ink stains though part of the design i wonder ? Still not sure one way or the other. But well done to the people involved in its publication. Much to admire in it and a bargain £3.00
I'd probably buy them if they were about £1.50. Could be worse, could be the same prices as Leeds...
There must be some crap ones around if ours is one of the best. Leicester's is the benchmark in this division and is streets ahead of ours. We used to have some good features and proper articles, now it's crap from Tweeters on what they think of Roary or asking current players if they prefer Pepsi or Coke........
Those ays are over. The first ever programme i bought with my pocket money was 3D(old money) Leicesters is good but not that much better. But each to his own. The book end programmes are my preference though. We had them for a while until this seasons style.
Our programme's from Strawberry were in a different class to the ones we have now, I don't even bother to read them any more and I get a free one on the way into the ground. If I want my programme to look like it's been on my garage floor for two years, then I'll leave it on my garage floor for two years.
The ones done by strawberry were a lot better then the current ones, I've given up buying them, at least it saves me a few quid
Leeds fans have to take out a mortgage to buy a ****ing programme which doesn't even get voted in the top 4 for design... I don't mind £3.00 personally. I think it's a bargain for that programme, great stuff.
Never bought a programme, never will! I don't have time to read them and all the info you need is on the internet anyway
Last two seasons I sat next to a lady who actually used the team page to mark substitutions shots on goal bookings and any other stat she could think of. She even has a red pen for sendings off. She spent the whole match asking me who each player was...her husband ignored her for the full match. A very expensive waste of time in my view. PS I have moved seats now as she was a fruit cake.
Perhaps if your bought one and then read it , you might then be able to make a constructive contribution to this thread?
