Fair enough GH10, i just think on paper out team is superior overall. But like you say, anything can happen, which is why I alluded to the BMJ has them playing well/derby game comments in my previous post.

I also agree on Caulker. I'd like to see Daws and Caulks together at CB. IMO, I think Dawson is actually the best to look after Berba in this game. He'll know him better than anyone, and has experienced playing with him each week as well as training with him daily.

seriously? How could you possibly have enjoyed that? I remember being on my feet for the final 10 mins, shouting at the TV worrying like hell. If I remember correctly, we got battered that day, only to have Defoe rescue us with a 3rd goal (completely against the run of play) which killed the game off.

Dempsey hasn't impressed anyone very often, but I can't see him benched for this game at all. It would make AVB look pretty harsh, which is not what he's aiming for, I think. Better to play him, keep him onside, and hope for an inspired effort against the old team. In the long run I'd like to see either Ade or Dembele replace Dempsey. But we've been winning with the lineup that played Liverpool, so it makes sense to stick with it.

Seriously, absolutely loved it, watched it down a pub, and loved it.

Unlike a lot of Spurs fans when we're winning, I'm supporting and cheering us on, rather than getting consumed with nerves. An exception was UTD away, a game I absolutely loved too, but I was convinced they would equalise at least, and that did involve a lot of nerves, mind you i watched it at home, on my home, so that's a bit of a different scenario.

I thnk Dempsey should definitely play, he impressed me v West Ham and did well against Liverpool.

I was worried we'd struggle without Ade, but Clint has stepped up to the plate and helped us hit two home runs, to mix up some metaphors, now it's time for one on his old patch <ok>

Wow, I actually agree with you GH10!

I've made tonnes of negative comments about Dempsey, but he's looked livelier in the last couple of games. He deserves to play against his old club like u say.

However, ideally, I would like to see what PNP has said <ok>

Well at least neither of them would be beating the other with pace!

Yup, Dempsey's performances have been improving in recent weeks, I see no reason to drop him for a game where he feels he has a point to prove.

If Hudd knock's him up in the air with his first tackle,he shouldn't get any more trouble from Berb, and i don't mean, because he will be sent off

Yes., I would give him a chance based on the 'point to prove' case. Plus I'd rather play him then Sigurdsson for the time being.

Going for the annual trip to the Thames!
The cottage has to be the coldest ground in the country, no matter what time of year!

Hoping that AVB leaves Gallas on the bench and Caulker has recovered.
Agree with those saying Dempsey should start. He's improved the last couple of games.
Id like to see the same line up we had against the spammers with Dembele in for thud.

Am feeling more confident about Dempsey, as when he first signed, most seemed it to be a real coup, yet I was feeling a tad underwhelmed as we just lost VDV and dempsey isn't of the same quality but i think we forget at fulham he played on the wing, we're asking him to play as a CAM and support defoe.

As much as I love Defoe as a player, i wouldn't want to be a CAM playing behind him! I would prefer Adebayor in front of me, so maybe it is taking Dempsey sometime to adjust to our system, style of play and if he cements a place in the team then he can link up with defoe (as he done so well agaisnt qpr).

Also having Dembele back means we can at least win a midfield battle and we should see much more of the ball through the centre.

Lawro shows his ignorance by saying he doesn't know why Jol was sacked after constantly throwing away leads and saying he had taken us as far as he could

100% agree with your assessment re Dempsey - certainly his performance v Spammers was a big improvement and I think he has taken a while to adjust to a new role. Hoping the incentive of playing against Fulham may also provide a spark. He does look a bit disengaged at times.
I am quietly confident about tomorrow, which is usually a danger sign!! :emoticon-0184-tmi:

Alright Relayer <ok> if fulham actually had any fans they may boo demps and spur him on! but regardless he will clearly be up for the game and I hope he can push on as that link between midfield and attack has been one of the reasons we look disjointed at times.

<ok> Always good to agree with someone, especially when they're right :)

I'm really pleased Caulker is back, I think the team is easy to pick assuming he's ready to play, I wonder if AVB does?

I think fans-wise we tend to dominate at the Cottage, so let's hope our fans are behind all our players.
