Just what we need, another past it player on 90 grand a week.

Joe Cole is wanted by Harry Redknapp to save QPR from the drop.

The relegation-threatened club will explore the option of taking the former England international on loan until the end of the season when the transfer window re-opens.

The midfielder is an outcast at Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers and needs a fresh challenge elsewhere.

That could come at Rangers, who are attempting to salvage their season under newly-appointed Redknapp.

The deal would be dependent on both club's striking an agreement over Cole's £90,000-per-week wages.

Although Redknapp has maverick midfielder Adel Taraabt on his books, he would jump at the chance to be reunited with Cole.

Cole was handed his professional debut by Redknapp at West Ham in 1998. He signed for Chelsea for £6million in 2003 before arriving at Liverpool on a free transfer in 2010.

However, he has failed to secure a regular spot in the Anfield line-up under his three different managers - Roy Hodgson, Kenny Dalglish and Rodgers.

He spent last season on loan at Lille and, despite enjoying success in France, he failed to secure a permanent switch across the Channel.

Now it seems he will be offered the chance to resurrect his career at Loftus Road in the fight for survival.

Says a lot when he can't break into a poor Liverpool side.

Let's hope so. We've enough old people to look after. Even the player who eats his lunch in his car reminded me of meals-on-wheels

Just hope this isn't true. We have good midfield, no need for more old players. We need strikers for God's sake.

Joe Cole? Please god no, he's so ******ed he'd struggle to qualify for the learning difficulties classification of the Paralympics.

Harry, we don't want him, he's been poor at every club his presence has blighted.

Dont think it will happen but if it does, i think it spells the end for Tarbs ?

Didn't post that to stir up either, just honest opinion. Both play same role and HR obviously has links with Cole.

lets hope it doesnt happen eh?

No chance, Taarabt has a better dribble rate than Messi and created the 2nd most chances of any player in the PL. Very good for someone so many people consider selfish.

Dont disagree with your post mate, except to say you obviously forgotten the links between Redknappp and JC.
Where he came from etc....think they may also be related in some way too? - not sure

Your post also shows how stupid stats can be mate. Are you seriously telling me that Tarbs is better than Messi?..at anything? Maybe connect 4 or tennis but not once they step on a football pitch.
Perfect example of why i pay no attention to stats with regards to football

I just posted the stats, you made the conclusion.

When did JC and HR work together, 7-8 years ago? I just hope its agent talk and the papers jumping to conclusion, surely we cant still be the retirement home for hasbeens. For every Nelsen, there are 10 Zamoras, Boswingas or Johnsons out there.

JC was the son of God. What does that make Harry?

Wouldn't mind if we did sign JC as long as he puts in a good word with his dad.
