Anyone looking for a new job?

I work for Virgin Media as many of you know. Well there are 12 new positions opening up in January. Its to work in the National Moving Centre at the Team Valley. Sales experience or contact centre experience is a must. If you are interest PM me your CV and I will put you forward. Closing date is 07/12/12 so need to be speedy. Salary is £18,500 with uncapped commission this year I have made 36k won an Ipad 3, 3 mobile phones, Vip V festival tickets and over £600 in vouchers. You also get private medical and dental for your family, season ticket bus pass loan interest free. I couldn't recommend it more its a great place to work the crack is awesome.

Well I'm looking for a full time job, but don't have any sales experience.

I've never worked in a contact center, but I have a lot of experience with people over the phone and have excellent communication skills. I take hundreds of phone calls a week, and I'm only working 14 hours at the moment.

 

TASH - 'Thankyou for calling Virgin Media, how may I help'.
CUSTOMER- 'I'd like help moving my package to my new house'
TASH- 'No problem sir, what is your address'
CUSTOMER- '5 Acacia Avenue, Sunderland, SR71 4UB'
TASH- 'ROFL.....LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLLOLLLOLLLOL .......you f*****g fat Mackem ****'

My brother has worked for these things before. Correct me if I'm wrong, and I have no doubt you'll do that even if I'm right, but you don't actually work for Virgin, you work for a sub-company that leases the right to peddle Virgin Media. You then cold-call people and harass them into buying **** they probably don't want.
My brother had to work all the hours god brings to get close to the ridiculous targets they set for the "18,500k salary + perks" ****.

You've only come here because you get paid to bring in people, probably how you won that ipad .

The fact you've made very few posts and then put up this immediately set off the bullshit-o-meter, if not the dodgy company premise. If this is genuine Virgin Media, you could just post the address at Team Valley... I don't actually know Tash in person, but I still don't want him ripped off by a scam

Don't want to get on your case, but you better f-ing tell people who apply the truth about what they're getting into, or I will be on your case.

 

If it turns out to be a dodgy deal there'll be recriminations for you Double Demba! You're lucky the post was allowed to stand in the first place, but on the off chance somebody might have gained worthwhile employment it was.

 

We'll see AB. If it's legit (though I've not heard of one of these things ever being so), then fair enough as long as he gives the full and truthful picture to people who've applied.

 

JPF, you have some serious trust issues, this guy's cool. I PM'd Double Demba and already he's got me in touch with some pretty exciting business contacts.

Like this guy in Nigeria, he's actually a prince. I'm helping him transfer money into a British bank account, gonna make quite a bit out of it actually after very little investment.
