Just a quick word on the ref(when do I not ). Sterling commited 6, that's six, fouls today without a booking. A proper ref would've had him on at least a booking and final warning. **** ref. But I digress.. COYS \o/
3 points taken, poor performance but climbing the table and only 3 points off Chelsea in 3rd. Overall happy tonight, who needs fingernails anyway
Chelsea play West Ham next who only lost 1-0 tonight, hmmmmm! Were they good or Utd bad? Hammers are due a win imo.
I think we made ourselves work hard by scoring for you which is a Spurs trait at the moment. I just wish our wins could be easier but a win against Pool is always satisfying. I haven't a clue what you're going to do for the rest of the season but good luck anyway. Since beating us Chelsea have had only one win in ten in normal time and they were very late injury time goals. They need to beat West Ham or else.
The Gallas tackle on Suarez I can understand, as he probably hasn't seen the replays, but what's the other claim? Neither of the supposed dives actually was one, either.
When Gerrard dive in the first half and Dembele took the ball. I couldn't see that well with our 2 dives as my stream was poor quality but it looked like Dempsey dived/went down easy(whatever you want to call it), I'll have a look at MOTD tonight. Suarez and Gerrard were going down and shouting at the ref and getting up to their usual nonsense though.
Always good to take the points in this one, but thought that it was a step back from Sunday, particularly the 2nd half when Daws and Gallas looked dodgy at times and we got bypassed in midfield. Walker made a few key contributions mixed with some ball-watching which nearly cost us and Dempsey became less and less influential as the game went on. But we're back to 5th and above the Scum, so life is (relatively) good!!
As long as it means Liverpool are too, yes. Hansen loses his **** the odd ocassion they're the last game
Just seen the highlights on MOTD. Usual Spurs - first The Lord Mayor's show, swiftly followed by the nail biting, bum clenching, arses to the wall climax. Why oh why can we not learn to put a game to bed? I'm not blaming AVB for this, necessarily, it's hardly anything new!!..
Having seen the highlights.... Wtf was Lloris doing charging out of goal like that!? Walker was immense - much improved defensive awareness compared to 2/3 weeks ago Dembele was his usual influential self Defoe who? Didn't have much impact Dempsey dived for the free kick leading to our 2nd - got lucky there Bale was awesome - apart from faceballing their goal Overall - a top result but a poor performance apart from the first bit of the first half - but if this were Man Utd they'd say 'oh well winning when playing bad is amazing' So tonight was amazing
I like the way our goalscorers combined for the third!...Lennon couldn't hit Bale's head from a cross any other time, no, just when he's stood on his own goal line! We seemed hellbent on an og, third attempt! Walker clearing off the line nearly hit Gallas, then Gallas hit Daws, then Bale finally notched for Pool!.... The scousers that have commented post match, very gracious, your only fault tonight, not taking a point home you would have deserved.
I don't think it was a poor performance, I think it was a good performance and a fantastic result. We've had three really tough games in a week, Fulham will make four in ten days, if we can win there, what a brilliant four game streak it would have been. Hope Caulker is back for that one instead of Gallas.
