I don't think that will happen. Sooner or later Vorm will get his chance to take and then fight to hold on to his place because he will have been shown that we have a very capable deputy. That is the way of football and I'm sure Vorm is professional enough to realise it. I just think that Tremmel should be rewarded by keeping his spot for as long as he is performing. Just imagine how it would be if Laudrup dropped Tremmel when he was doing the business, reinstated Vorm who then proceeded to have a 'mare or two. He would look a total fool. Best let the keepers battle it out and may the best one win. I happen to think that will be Vorm and that policy makes for a successful football club.
I would keep Tremmel in as long as it takes to get Vorm up to 100% as there is no need currently to rush him back, which is brilliant, but when he is back to 100% fit he goes straight back in for me..there is a reason he is our number one and a reason why he is knocking on the door to be the Dutch international No.1 also!!
Why replace tremmell??? Keep the run going and dont change if its not broken. vorm is good back up at the moment and he will get his chance at some point....
Very hard call but I think Kidderz is right. Normally the form player should start but keepers are a special breed. Once Vorm has his fitness back he should start. Another thing we have to consider is that ML gets to see these guys in training (we don't) so if Vorm looks good and fit then ML will pick him. Tough call and tremmell has done little wrong but Vorm is a quality keeper and wears number 1 for a reason.
while his form lasts then tremmell is the No1 keeper, Vorm has made some costly blunders this season and as long as tremmell is performing as he is then there is no need to change, He will get hurt at some point and vorm will be back in but right now as we are doing great then tremmell has earned the no1 spot....
Well here's what Laudrup thinks. Not sure if these are wise comments while we're still relying on Tremmel http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8295011
If we lose due to a vorm blunder in the next game then fans would question why he was selected over tremmell and poor vorm would get flack from certain sections of the liberty just like joe allen was booed every time he got the ball. We dont want to see vorm go from hero to zero for replacing tremmell who has done no wrong...Dont change what is not broke and who says that vorm is better than tremmell anyway...
I dont really care who is the keeper myself as they are both good, Im just making a case for tremmell who was given his chance due to vorms injury and has done really well and as they are both in competition with one another for the keepers job then if i was tremmell and was dropped i would feel let down....
I voted for Tremmel to stay as he has earned his right to keep the jersey. On the one hand I feel it doesn't matter what position you play if you get the opportunity and prove yourself you should be rewarded, even more so if you are the keeper as those chances are few and far between. But on the other, if you told me that by keeping Tremmel in could mean Vorm leaving then it would be Vorm every time. Don't envy ML having to make these decisions. Just glad as a fan I don't have to make them but can sit back and criticise the manager when he does!! Pleased that Tremmel has proved his doubters wrong though me included.
Tremmel has the best saves-to-shot ratio (84%) of any keeper in the PL. You can't drop a keeper playing well imo. Also, I'm still a moderator. ****ing hell!
