The is disgusting but images like this seem to be appearing every week and every clubs seems to have these morons going to games. This bloke needs to be punished and there's no better way than doing that than letting him keep his season ticket
Football is a game that attacts many morons... and for every moron that makes monkey gestures, there will be another 500 morons with a racist mentality behind the scenes that stand quiet. It is ok to be racist if you remain quiet and keep your views to yourself? Or is there something deeper and sicker with the human race in general that needs to be resolved? As strange as this seems, the kid probably wouldnt even consider making monkey gestures to any of the black Sunderland lads so is he really racist? Or is he just a moron who decides to make a complete bellend of himself because his team has lost a game of football? Surely he can only be considered racist if he made the same gestures to Sunderland players, but he didnt... So what is going on here? He probably loves Sessegnon so how can he be truely racist if he loves Sessegnon? I'm not condoning his actions as he is clearly a total idiot for doing what he did but is he really racist bearing in mind he only makes gestures to OPPOSITION players?

I seem to have took some stick for my tollerant stance with the individual concerned..However, it is my opinion that regarding discrimination, education rather than punishment should be the first course of action. If this doesn't work and he was to do it again, then I would look at punishments.

As has been so obviously highlighted during the course of this thread, racism seems to be largely the domain of the ignorant and the intellectually challenged. That's why I champion the course of education rather than go straight down the punishment line, although I'm also well aware that in certain cases both paths would be futile.
