.. good couple of results lately which didn't look likely immediately after the Watford game .. so well done again.

Out of interest, having played ourseleves and Palace this week what is your 'impartial' evaluation of both teams, in particular in terms of promotion (or not) credentials?

    Fosse

I thought you where more structured and solid at the back lacked anything going forward the hoofing it by schmeichel isnt going to help you, Futacs caused a bit of a problem when he came on but thats it really.

Morgans a class strong centre half but De laet seemed the weak link at the back. Think you will do well to finish in autos going on last nights performance.

You are obviously a total different outfit with nugent in (he always scores against us!!!!)

    Palace

They where quick on the break but struggled when we attacked them I can see them slipping down the table after christmas, very much a one man team and tuck him up in ur pocket like Sam Byram did and then you will have a good chance of beating them, they where trying too many fancy tricks and attempting to show off and just looked dick heads, o and Murray is a right moaning twat.

    Thanks for the kind words.

Both Palace and Leicester played some good football.

Palace in particular looked dangerous coming with Zaha and Murray both making themselves a nuisance. Zaha should sometimes look to play with Less style and more substance. His mucking about often gave us time for more players to get involved. Palace played some cracking balls across goal but couldnt get anyone on them. On the day, it was Palace's defence which let them down. Failure to clear the ball resulted on both our goals. No real blame to Speroni who I rate highly. Toward the end of the game they really threw the kitchen sink at us, especially after their goal.

Speaking to a Leeds based palace fan on the bus home, he said their league position has come as a surprise given their performance over the last few seasons. How they'll end up? I reckon that'll be determined by January's acquisitions and more importantly, their retentions. They have some cracking players but need a little more firming up at the back and centre of the park.

Leicester looked to be a more rounded team but lacked a cutting edge up top on the night. I think the shots on goal gave a skewed perspective; there were a lot of tame efforts by Leicester and some borderline offsides against Leeds. Again, we had a better grip of midfield. Your double substitution was a good move and this along with Thomas coming off for us allowed you to exert more pressure. It gave Kasper a target man in I think Futacs who cleaned up in the air and seemed to distribute well. It all got a bit scrappy towards the end but certainly Leicester had the better of it at the end.

From yesterday, I'd say Leicester should be in the mix at the end of the season. Solid squad with options from the bench. Don't put too much pressure on Vardy, it's a big step up but there were flashes of potential there. Missed Nugent big style.

I'd put my mortgage on Leicester finishing above Crystal Palace.

Thanks for all the responses fellas, including that from 'Schizo-the-Scooter' ... is good to see the Wall having a revival and this league is living up to it's reputation in terms of competitiveness and unpredictability - good luck to you all and here's hoping that you all finish very close behind us... <whistle>
