£20m my arse, he's a right whinging puff. I was like having that Abdul the Trabant back from the drama's. How we didn't win that game is beyond me, but it was one hell of an entertaining 0-0. Bring on the woodland people.
If it was a boxing match it would have been stopped at half time. Great game, we should have had 2 or 3 in the first half, some great crosses into the box.
And the way Fryatt's stock is rising the more he can't walk - we should be looking for at least the same for him...
The first time he did anything genuinely dangerous in the match was in the 81st minute, and the Palarse fans sung 'He's just too good for you'.
We defended very well against him last night but you can see he has got something special in his locker
I thought that Palace were one of those teams who are used to getting their own way, a bunch of pricks to put it bluntly. They hated Meyler getting stuck into them, god I hate those types of players.
This is true, but he is never worth the price tag put upon him (NOT YET). This is why English football is full of foreign players because as soon as any English (?) player shows any sign of talent the press go totally overboard and they get a ridiculous price-tag around their neck, thus the majority of clubs will not take the risk; Jordan Henderson is a prime of example of why.
I don't understand the love for Ian Holloway also, he's an absolute twat. They were after Meyler all game and he put one big tackle in and Holloway kicked off? ****ing idiot. Bruce had a word as you would expect. He always has someone else to blame Holloway when his side don't win he moans about the ref after every game, even blaming the fixtures now? http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/ian-holloway-attacks-fixtures-computer-8363249.html He's an absolute ****.
Holloway on the Brady yellow card: "As we all know, he would have probably outpaced him, got past him and then that would have been a goalscoring opportunity. So it was all a bit strange." Oh so you can give a red card on what would 'probably' have happened if a challenge hadn't of been made?
Brady's boody quick anyway, so I don't know if he would have outpaced him. I thought it was a perfectly good tackle anyway.
He's certainly a PL winger...he hit the deck whenever he was challenged! Elmo/Chester/Bruce/McBorg (headband related) gave him no time or space. He's no better than Stewart when he was flying, case closed.
I thought Brady got a touch on the ball... if not, it was a very, very ****e touch from Zaha! As Steve Bruce said, if Brady didn't touch it, it was obviously played forward by Zaha, in which case, the ball went straight through to Stockdale meaning Zaha wasn't in control of the ball, making it a non-goalscoring opportunity.
As Dazzar says, it went an awful long way towards goal which looked to me like Brady got the ball and took Zaha with him. I was a fair way away so that may be wrong, but I wasn't convinced it was a foul at the time and judging by the yellow card, I don't think the ref was either. If it was a foul then it was a definite red.
The ball popped out and away from both players, however Evans was to the right the incident (inline) and would have also got a tackle in, hence Brady is not the last man = yellow card. Rules are rules.
Well I don't know where you were sat but I was sat virtually level to it on the front row of the East Stand, and sent this text to my mate about a minute after " Zaha's playing the wrong sport. Should be in the England Aquatics squad because he's just pulled a 9.5 dive." Brady fair and square got the ball. Zaha went over like tumbleweed in the wild west. Disgraceful. Oh and whoever said Holloway's a twat, I completely agree with you. I've never liked him.
