What about Gardner pulling out of loose balls 60/40 in his favour? Little ***got ****, he can **** right off, he is ****e.
We have to sack him really, the little paddy man hasn't got a clue about subs or tactics. I said on here we should of sack him after the boro game but loads of silly mugs on here love paddy man. SACK HIM NOW OR WE ARE GOING DOWN STAT FACT.
I've always thought MON was a properly top manager (backed up by him saving us from some serious **** last year) but since his initial impact it's all gone downhill... We don't play with the same tempo, pushing, hassling, counter-attacking aggression that we did in those first 10 or so games. Now (given that his record is only marginally better than Bruce, who the fans had lost faith in long before he was sacked) I'm also starting to ask questions. I'd love to see him turn it around so much, but we need to be outside the bottom 3 come the Jan transfer window for that to happen.. Also, who would we get that's any better than MON?
I am amazed at the calls to sack yet another manager. Yes we are going through a bad time at the moment...but is the answer to sack a manager EVERY time we go through a difficult time?? For people to come on here and say he should use these tactics or play this player, drop that player..buy this player...use these subs etc etc etc. This isn't a game on some sodding computer..this is the EPL. At this moment in time we have a manager with proven CV...someone who has won trophies with lesser clubs in this division. I am the first person to admit we are playing crap with way too many players playing out of form...so what do we do. Bring in another manager....like who??? I fear that in the present day the fans will have a say and the surge of opinion is growing to change the manager...yet again. I would cite the likes of Leeds, both Sheffield clubs, Boro, Forest to name a few...these clubs thought the answer is to chop and change their manager...sorry guys, it never has been the answer and never will be. It would make a great change to see a manager given the time to turn it round and give it a real go, even through the bad times..like David Moyes
For those who have known me on this forum since it started - you all know my glass is almost always half full - not today though. We were awful last night - worst performance of the season - there were a few positives like the back 5 looked very good. Sess and Fletcher I felt very sorry for - we had nothing between them at all - Colback, Larsson, Gardner, Johnson - all poor (although Johnson showed a flash of his capability with that through ball for Fletcher in the first half) - McClean needs removing from the squad - not just the team.
Flanders, I don't get this changing managers yet again crap. Keane and Bruce were both here 2-3 years. It's a bit more of a lean spell when we haven't beat a team with 11 men for 8 months. O'Neills past record should not keep him in a job and from what I can see that is the only argument the MON in brigade have left.
the trouble is if there is not another two teams worse than us as well as QPR in the premier league we are doomed. P S bring big Lawrie back, we could not play any worse.
Whoever the manager is in January, he must sort our midfield out. Mig and the back 4 look tidy (Thought Killa had a good game). We looked too small, too static and too unimaginative last night in m/f. Fletcher is ok but having to come deep because of the poor service. That said, I personally thought Magic would have had a better season up to now than he has. Why Colback? Why McClean? etc, etc. Bah! I'm just getting depressed reading and writing this stuff. KTF x
Dissapointing season partly caused by a lack of funds to put right the holes that were left by Bruce. It was a miracle that MON kept us up last year and he needs more than 1 year to turn this squad into a stable premier class squad. I struggle to see us picking up 45 points and anything less which is looking very possible is a full on relegation battle. Enjoy it folks! You must be mad to spend money watching Sunderland just to worry about being relegated. We have been doing this kinda **** for 50 years!
2 players don't make a premier league team. The money spent on those 2 players are what it costs to bring decent players in... and with those players our funds were drained. There are more positions that need to be bolstered from the Brucie squad.
Newcastle, Fulham, West Brom and maybe even Everton, have shown you don't need to spend 10m+ on players.
Who would you sign today if you could? Newcastle are just as fecked as we are... West Brom are one season wonders, Everton have a manager that has been there for 10 years which is what we need to be looking to acheive. Fulham, don't know how they do it to be honest but fair do's to them. Fulham bought Etuhu from us and he was shyte here, so what can you say about that?
As I said the other day. Sunderland have spent £50m in the same time West Brom £10.5. Every player at every team can (god I hope so) play football. Confidence is massive but saying that why do we lack confidence. From the first game (and 12 of last season) we have been rubbish SO it has to go to the manager(tactics). He either tells the team to be defensive OR(even during the game) should be saying Larrson" your doing sweet **** all standing there. Get forward". Colback "pass the ****ing ball forward" Johnson "take your man on get forward". If the players are told to do it they should do it or **** of to somewhere like Hartlepool. (No disrespect to them as I'm sure their football will be more watchable than ours )
Fair points mate. Do you think West Brom will finish in the top 6 and do you think they will finish top half next season? If they don't should they sack the manager due to lack of confidence, poor tactics etc? We have a manager that has won leagues and cups and I think we ought to give him a few years in the job. I really dont see many viable alternatives that will make everything rosey, I really don't. We just have to accept we are in for a struggle and take another look at things at the end of the season.
As long as we don't finish bottom 3. If he does get January then it needs to be a spectacular one. By that time, with the up coming fixtures, I think we could be in the bottom 3.
