£6 hahahaha I ****ing wish. Lucky Strikes are £7.50-£9.00 in London. Started in Brussels when they were 3 euros 20 which worked out to about 2 quid at the time. ****s sake.
I go abroad for me baccy and bring enough back to last the year, saving over £1500 in the process Our greedy government gets over £5 in tax from every packet sold over here. Twats are getting **** all from me!
Presactly! I have no problem with them stopping smoking in public places. But why can't we have smoking pubs? At least give us the choice.
The smoking bans are NOT about health; they're about money. There are two players in the nicotine market...tobacco companies and the massive pharmeceutical companies. All these anti-smoking organisations like ASH and Fresh NE, recieve massive funding by Big Pharma to promote smoking bans to try and force people to quit and go on Nicotine Replacement Therapy (patchygummythingys) which, incidentally, have a 98.4% FAILURE rate! It's a multi-billion dollar business for Big Pharma. The passive smoking bullshit has been proven to be tobacco control lies.
I don't have a problem with the ban as non smokers shouldn't have to put up with my excess smoke. What I do want though is to have places to go where WE have the choice to smoke. I would lay money on a smoking pub being packed to the rafters. With both smokers and none smokers. The ban has destroyed pubs and clubs.
In 2004, 8 pubs were closing every week in Britain, with the same number in 2005 and 2006. THEN the smoking ban came in and the weekly closures soared to 27, 38, 26 and 28 in the following years. http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/data...ction-labour-manifesto-pub-closures?fb=native
