To be fair, they were both 0-0s though. That might have had something to do with it.

Now all we need is a referee to spot one of his trademark dives on Tues/Weds.

Your mate has a point.Looking at those fixtures I reckon maybe not bottom three by new year but quite possibly in the dogfight.

There is no doubt we will drop down the table over the next 5 weeks.

    Dogfight though?

If anyone really thinks we won't manage 4 wins and half a dozen draws draws from our last 25 games then they are underestimating us big time.

You might wanna look at your own run of fixtures early in the new year by the way.

Four wins and a half-dozen draws would put you on 37 for the year, which would certainly be in the dogfight.

Not sure I'd classify West Ham as relegation-threatened, but if you hit that Reading game on something like 21 points, you'll at least be in the conversation.

Trixter makes a good point. We had a really tough start, which will be repeated in the New Year. It will be interesting to see how much we have learnt when the repeat fixtures come round. Of course it also means that our run out is against the 'lower sides'. Still have Chelsea to play twice....easy peasy.

Yeah and that's the minimum we need to stay up is what I am saying.

I would expect at least another 7 wins.

Well I am actually a Norwich fan on the Saints board. But the point really is that the fixtures list this season really has thrown up some anomalies.Saints and QPR got the worst of it but the former seem to be putting a run together.I did say possibly in the dogfight,it's amazing how quick you can drop when a few results go against you:The Geordies for example.

    Sorry mate didn't realise.

Everyone has to play everyone twice and I am confident that in the end we will be safe with games to spare.

I watched saints first half yesterday and they looked very good. I am starting to think they will be fine too as will Norwich. It's very hard to call this year I must say.

Trixter you only lost to Tottenham no need to worry yet. December looks like a nightmare but hey at least you get them out of the way, none of the top teams are really on good form (except West Brom!) so you could find some points. And if not at least you have a nice gap in there.

I'm still saying Sunderland for trouble, if they aren't worried yet then I am surprised. They have four relegation battlers to play before Christmas which are very big games (they all are really). Our defence got a lot of criticism in the early weeks but with a bit of touching up in January I think they will all turn out ok.

Agree with Qwerty about Sunderland and the Geordies will be dragged in if they are not careful.
