This is a list of the players that are currently injured or have been injured for a spell so far this season -

    Krul
    Simpson
    Perch
    Saylor
    Coloccini
    Tiote
    Cabaye
    Ben Arfa
    Cisse
    Shola
    Obertan
    Vuckic

Pretty much our entire ****ing team!

... and now Colo is back it looks like Saylor is injured again!

Yeah but haven't you heard? Ashley out!

Seriously though, having so many injuries has hampered our ability to rotate and means extra games for players who are now tired and jaded.

To be fair, I don't think our injury crisis is that bad... having 3/4 out isn't the worst anyone has ever had, and most teams routinely have to go throughout the year with worse. Man Utd as an example last year.

Cabaye and Ben Arfa have only just been injured, and it's worked out that we've never really put out a side that we didn't at least see at some point last year. We just haven't had the rub, don't have the confidence, and don't seem to be applying a tactic to inspire anything from the players. Thought Pardew put out a decent team today, and I expected a better performance, and he did too.

Defensively, until Saylor today, we've never really been as healthy as right now.

    You're joking aren't you! <laugh>

A couple of years ago we played an almost 2nd team against Blackburn, and the full bench was literally filled with the youth team.

To be fair would you give Pardew money. Most of his signings have been poor and to be quite frank the fact he paid £6 million to have that Cisse donkey rather than Best is very concerning.

Cabaye for 4m. Cisse is a good striker, but he's off form, just like Ba was off form last year. Anita is looking better by the game, and has come close to scoring quite often, and his goal vs Brugge was one of our best so far.

You can't really criticise him too much for Marveaux, he looked like a bargain for £0! He had an injury.

Obertan was a ****e signing. I think if we got him on a free then It would have been worth it because he does pop up with the odd goal and assist.

You can't just blame Pardew, it's also the scouts and Llambias who have a big part in our signings.

    Ba
    Cisse
    Cabaye
    Santon
    Ben Arfa

    Good signings those

Jury still out on a few others: Amalfitano, Good, Abeid, Bigi, Eliott, Anita, Marveaux

    Bad ones: Obertan, Kuqi

14 signings, 5 good ones, 2 bad ones and 7 yet to be fully exposed. Seems to have done well so far but there is a few still to go either way transfer wise. So far though you'd have to think him and Carr can be trusted with money, particularly when you look at what he has got for roughly 30m ish.

I wouldn't really class Ben Arfa as Pard's signing, as Hughton discovered him, but you're right.

He did but he could easily have let him go at end of his loan. So you'd have to class him as a Pardew signing really. He brought him to the club on a permanent basis. All really found by Carr and his scouting team. I think Hughton would have signed many of the the same players.
