    The thing is the guy he fought had a world title until he fought Paulie not so long ago!!! he should have taken a few easier fights over the next year and then seen what he had as 5 months training was never going to be enough but the fact is now he's doing the right thing and retiring as he would never get back to where he was regardless. The mans a four time world champion and a legend whatever so he needs to start realising that.

    I watched, horrible ending... Hatton was 20% of what he was once and was edging Shemchenko overall. Joe Calzaghe had the right idea on when to call it a day but still Hatton is probably the greatest LWW the country has ever produced. Thanks for the memory's hitman.

    I was working in the Arena last night and the atmosphere was booming, shame he couldn't show the same oomph.

    I heard last night he earned around £3-4m last night through tickets and showing on Primetime.
