No doubt a %100ter, but not captain material for me. Can't question his passion and commitment, but much prefer to see a CM or CB as captain: they can see the whole game in front of them. Nelson the man for me. Surely HR won't stick with Park!
I'm OK with Nelsen for the moment. But for the future, I wouldn't mind giving it to Mackie - he's the type of guy who might change for the better with more responsibility. You never know.
I think he shows enough commitment at the present, but in a situation like this I think the captain needs to be an experienced player.
I consider Mackie a great (storm)trooper, but Nelsen is more experienced to take on the captain role permanently in our current predicament.
I'd rather start Mackie over Cisse. He has been utter ****e this season. Mackie made umpteen runs into space often going past Cisse who just stood about with his hands on his hips.
Bit harsh I feel nines. I thought Cisse really put a shift in today. Yes he shows disappointment when he's not fed the ball and feels he could have been, but to an extent I want that in a striker. He's still our most natural finisher. Think he was the only one to score in the warm up. Our finishing was atrocious even then
I wasn't at the game but I did manage to watch the whole game this evening. So if you were there 74 then you saw the bigger picture. Which is better because it means he performed better than I thought he did. Which is a good thing and bodes well for the upcoming games. Thanks for that mate.
I was there mate. Generally from what I've seen the last couple of games I think he's working hard but shows frustration a little too easily especially with AT. Sometimes that frustration isn't always justified and does him a disservice.
That's what I have generally felt after attending all of the home games. I don't see that he has an argument though, because if he had released Mackie when we were 1-0 up, we might of added a second. Bad decision making there.
