Im very suprised to see him picked today instead of Gards. Why is he so untouchable? surely its plain to see Catts and Gardner are our best central midfield partnership.

Bruce used to insist in picking him no matter what aswell.Don't get me wrong i think highly of Jack, he's probs the best player we've had out of our Academy over the past few years but he offers us nothing as a goal threat, so why have him and Catts in the same team?

Doesnt matter if he is the best product of the Academy , he just looks like a Championship player. Gardener looks a good player n should be well peeved that the square ball master is picked b4 him.

West brom have done nothing to be in the lead 2-0. Gardner is on now, so more goal threat. We can turn this around. Last week's hero mig at fault for both goals. Nothing to fear here. Come on!!!

How he is still on the pitch after 60 minutes is beyond me. He is weak, unadventurous, the game is simply just passing him by. FFS MoN bring him off.

Like I said why is he so untouchable? I wouldn't bring him off now cause we've made 2 subs already and MON must surely bring on another striker soon!

Let's be honest he had a stinker today, I can't really recall anything significant that he done today.
Like I said I like the lad usually but it should either be him or Catts in the team, not both!

I agree that both him and catts are a bit like england with gerrard and lamps.

Mind you, I'd also put LB as Colbacks best position.

good second half, must have been good to watch for a neutral imo. Their 4th was harsh and seriously flatters them.

Spot on - the game just passed him by and what MoN see's in him is beyond me. Oh to have a manager with the tactical nous of Clark.

12 shots on target to their 6.

if mig hadnt got butter fingers for their 2nd the result would have been much different imo.

Colback is a championship PLODDER. (Not blowing my own horn ) Said so for three years. Can't stand Catts and Colback together. but to be fair Larsson, Mclean and Johnson have been just as bad if not worse this season. Would be quite happy with Colback at L/B and Rose, (being a L/B) has more quality in his little finger than Colback will ever have. Midfield on a whole is ****ing WOOOOOOAAAAAEFULL.

Colback offers nothing to the team. Gardner has to start, he needs a run in the team to get used to playing in midfield again, at least he offers a goal threat.
I just hope we are still out of the bottom 3 come January as we need so get at least 2 players in, another striker and a creative midfield player to go in the middle with Catts.

I agree that if Colback has to play put him at LB and get Rose further up the pitch, he can beat a man and today showed he can pick a man out with a pass.

Colback is a piss poor full back IMO, as poor if not poorer than Richardson was and that's saying something. If he cant hack it in central midfield then there isn't a place for him simple as that.

He is a good lad but way off being an EPL central midfield player IMO right now and its our midfield that looks as poor as any in this league. Larsson not cutting it, Colback not cutting it, McClean not cutting it and Johnson hit and miss. Gardener hit and miss too and Vaughan way off the pace.

We desperately need a midfielder with pace and the ability to pass the ball and even more so another striker as it looks like Wickham isn't going to get his chance here at all.
