A very negative post if I ever I saw one.

You assume we have to win half our games and then by the same stroke loose the other half....what about draws?

We aren't that far behind that we can't do better than the other teams around us.

There isn't a magic points number, you just have to do better than 3 other teams and I believe now that Hughes has gone we can do that.

I think wee can do it, it looks like the bottom 3 will not get anywhere neat 40 points, we could easily be out of the bottom 3 just after new year.

Staying up, without a doubt. Five very winnable games in December after which we'll all be happy.

We are only 2 games off the others? Still think Reading Saints Norwich will go down.

I reckon we'll stay up. Far too long to go yet to remain despondent. Might have been nice to address this mess after the west ham game, but it's done now and I don't think Harry would have taken it on if he didn't believe. We'll be 3 down at half time tomorrow, Harry will come bursting into the dressing room giving a churchillian team talk and we'll score 7 in the second half and win 7-6. This is the truth. I'm FTF.

We got a chance to stay up now, whereas before today I don't think we did. But it will of course be very tough - I don't see any so obvious candidates to go down. Southampton look a mid - table side to me, and even Reading look well capable of staying up. Stoke, Villa, Reading to go down if I'm optimistic!

I accept I'm having a glass half empty day but the damage is already done IMO. People seem to want to ignore precedent when considering this. How bad is it...?
The worst start by any team in PL history
The only team in the entire professional game without a win this season
The worst start by any QPR team in our entire 126 year history
Fundamental problems in defence and attack that can't be addressed for at least another 9 games.

Agreed, but in terms of a squad there are teams worse than us.

Everton in the 1994-95 season also went the 12 opening games without a win yet still managed to finish 15th that season

Wow, how easily we forget! WE HAVE A MOUNTAIN to climb!!

I think it partly depends on whether Harry is a lucky manager. Poor old MH was not (for us anyway).

Yesterday, we had the shortest odds of going down. Today we have the 3rd shortest odds. That says a massive amount of what people though of Hughes. A couple of wins and the odds will lengthen further.
