What about Sutil and Buemi, Kimi also. Lost potential.

Firstly it's only rumours and secondly FI is a step down for Kimi.

Incidently, where do F1 drivers who've been forced out before retirement age tend to head to? Is DTM still a popular option, or do more look across the pond? What other options are out there?

I hope the rumours don't turn out to be true.

If they want a proven talent there's no one better than Sutil. If they want a young driver with serious potential there's no one better than Bianchi. Both are better than Alguersuari, who sucks at qualifying and got lucky so many times in 2011 (Of the seven times he finished in the points, four of those were because he was knocked out in Q1 and given a fresh tyre advantage over the midfield).

From the look of it we're gonna have a few rookies next year! Gutierrez, Bottas, Van Der Garde, Chilton and possibly more depending on what happens with HRT.

Basically the gap between the quality of the drivers at the front and those at the back is going to get wider next season. Pissed off if Sauber confirm that they have sacked Kamui he is only one 6th place behind the guy off to McLaren!, as for Gutierrez if he was so good why have they not put him in the car more often like FI and Williams have done with Bianchi and Bottas. Makes me think they have signed him to keep Slim happy.

Bruno was never in contention. Bottas was gromed for that seat from day 1. There's probably a hord of posts from moaning about it in the pre season testing thread. Honestly he's probably out of F1 all together. I give him maybe a 5 percent chance of a Force India seat and maybe 20% for Caterham but would he even want to go to such a useless team. Barely better than HRT.

Yeah, I remember all those posts back then and I remember vainly hoping it wasn't true ;) I hope he stays in F1 but I think that may be a vain hope too now, especially if the likes of Heikki and Kamui are also on their way out.

Knowing that Marussia might be faster next season with KERS, why has Charles taken a step back?

Frijns as test driver for Sauber at least <ok>

Never liked Heikki anyway, always knew he was overrated to a degree worse than Massa ever hit this year! He was below average even in a great car 2008 and the last half of 2009 as well is proof enough.
