Yeah mate he played them as wingbacks. Poor old Jordan put a shift in but was getting left isolated when YB's broke. There are too many water carriers in the Liverpool side.
My mates a scouser, he wants rid of Downing as in sold, as even on loan Liverpool will still be paying most of his wages.

no to downing, he's terrible. you could make a case for him being as good as what we have (see above), but given he'd cost twice as much it's not a difficult decision to make.
No, its just being realistic. We have won 2 games this season, both times the opposition having 10 men. So why not add downing, it cant be any worse, thats all im saying.
Yeah, we've been crap, but 4 at home and 7 away (incl. Arsenal & Man City) hasn't helped. Players are now finding a bit of form and there's grounds for optimism (look it up). A couple of decent results and suddenly we're comfortably mid-table.
I've got a downer on Larsson this season as I think he is letting himself and the team down. But his delivery is a billion times better than Downings. The Liverpool fans give him ironic cheers when he manages to find a team mate. (They don't have to do it often mind.)
