I rate Thomas highly. Been having re-occurring injuries lately I believe but he is a quality signing. I am impressed with signing a CB and LW (or RW, can't remember but it won't stop Warnock). We did need a striker but I suppose thats just being greedy at this point
You don't need a striker - you have McCormack back, Somma on his way back, and Poleon just recalled - with Becchio and Gray thats more than enough
We have a lot of samey type strikers though. Diouf, McCormack, Poleon, Somma all can't play with each other imo. If Becchio gets injured then the only player that can replace him is Gray and I wouldn't say he's good enough. I'd like us to replace Becchio and then play McCormack alongside the replacement, get rid of Diouf in January and have Somma competing with Ross and Becchio competing with his replacement. You know it makes sense TC
Somma may be no use after such a long lay off. Poleon is an inexperienced youngster, Gray hopeless and Becchio completely off form. Doesnt leave the list of strikers looking that big does it

Morning all. Heaven help the PC brigade if they could read this site. On Becchio, I think the reason he's not producing enough is that we've been playing a great deal of decent footy of late. He'll run & run for the team. But if he keeps being flattened by some 6ft plenty hairy ar&ed defender as he tries to jump for the ball, I'd be pretty hacked off if I were him as well. The arrival of Thomas plus Hall on the other wing & White providing an option surely means that we should be able to keep the ball on the floor a bit more. If so, Becchio & a returning McCormack should benefit. Let's hope so.
