Looks like Rodgers is fielding a strong side against young boys, which could make things interesting http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2915/europa-league/2012/11/21/3545501/-
Maybe I wasn't clear. You do not have one player, Michu at a push maybe, who is good enough for our first 11. You are a bunch of mediocre players who are greater than the sum of their parts thanks to a great philosophy, work rate, self belief and coaching. If you believe you truly have individuals who could displace for certain any of our best first 11 you are more deluded than people on RAWK. If our new team with its new players and promoted youth can learn to knit together as a team like Swansea have and have the same passion and belief, we will be something to behold. Its b=very very early days yet though.
1. For a moment there, I thought you were describing Liverpool 2. Is this the same Looserpool who brought on their 'world class' stars and still conceded 2 goals against 'mediocre' Swansea at fortress Anfield recently? 3. Or you could just try and buy more of our players, although I wouldn't understand why they would want to lower their standards by signing for a second rate version of football played at the Liberty . Must still be bitter that Martinez turned down the job
Toela was giving it the big 'un before the Carling Cup game also, "we'll play our ressies and we'll beat them because we're Liverpool and they're Swansea!"...or some such ****. Didn't hear a peep from him on the game afterwards The kind of arrogant twat we've silenced all the way up, only they used to support Leeds, Leicester, Derby, Oldham, Bristol City, Huddersfield, Bradford etc. Except some of them were actually funny. We can measure our own achievements by the standard of twats we attract. There is an inverse correlation.
I've got a lot of time for Rev I think he's a really good poster and fights his corner well on here. This other one though, well he's a right bewt
Both Swansea and Liverpool's squads are genuinely mid-table quality at best. For us, that's a testament to the intelligent football decisions from Huw and the board especially to our small budget. For Liverpool, its a complete damning indictment of how badly Liverpool have been run. The fact Downing, an Anfield failure, costs more than our first XI illustrates how Liverpool have been humbled into mid table mediocrity.
Liverpool will get to at least 6th place This season the way Rodgers has improved the team in a short space of time. we will hopefully be in the top half and personally hope a European place.....we have a lot of catching up to do if we can ever compare us as good as Liverpool.... don't be silly this is what they call a blip in their standing as a top 6 club....
