But I do think its his last chance. Last chance for what? Last chance for a good performance or last chance for a win? That is the question.
I think we can safely say now that Hughes was never going to be sacked. Southampton was only seen as a must win because the board thought there was no way we would lose it. We did and now they are up sh*t street! They cant afford to get rid of him so he's staying. We can only hope that there is a clause that he goes at Christmas if we are below a certain point but we all know that will be too late. So to sum up we are in a relegation battle with a manager who can't motivate and players that don't care. The only two things that can save us are the slight chance that Harry has said he'll take over after Man U or that the 16,000+ people that do care and turn up every week face facts and start creating the atmosphere we had at the end of last season......I'm not optimistic
Ok North! I take it this is the regular time for his pre-match presser, and suggests he'll still be our manager Saturday. A double figure hammering won't be a bad bet. TFIC or at least TFIVFS.
Give him one last chance and we will easily lose and then sack him and the new man has a winnable game against Sunderland. Im not worried yet, I will be if hes still be there for sunderland and will probably not go to any games until hes gone if hes here for villa.
QPR have given the clearest indication yet that Mark Hughes will be in charge for their away game at Manchester United by announcing that the under-fire manager will hold a Friday media conference. Rangers, who lost 3-1 to Southampton at Loftus Road on Saturday, are bottom of the Premier League with no wins in their 12 league matches. Reports, denied by QPR, suggested the club asked Hughes to resign in the aftermath of that defeat. However, ESPN understands Rangers are engaging in a thorough review of the situation before making any decision on the Welshman's future at Loftus Road. "Mark Hughes is still manager of QPR, but anything can happen within 24 hours in football," a source said. Hughes held talks with chief executive Phillip Beard on Monday night, after which Rangers were forced to deny rumours that he had been dismissed. Harry Redknapp has failed to deny that he wants the QPR job if Hughes is sacked, while Rafa Benitez would also put himself in the frame - although his first choice would be to take the vacant post at Chelsea, even on a short-term deal. ESPN understands that the QPR hierarchy are split on whether to sack Hughes, on whether Redknapp would be the right choice and on whether it may already be too late to avoid relegation. Owner Tony Fernandes has been staunch in his support of Hughes despite a growing backlash from fans against the manager. But after the Southampton defeat, Fernandes tweeted: "Let me tell you, fans come first. Everyone, including me, let the fans down. Many of us need a hard look at ourselves. QPR has amazing fans. They deserve better." The attitude of co-owner Amit Bhatia might prove pivotal, as EPSN revealed recently that the club's wealthiest backer would consider his position if QPR go down.

Exactly. Maybe the board doesn't want our new manager to start his job by losing five-nil. Just hoping.
