Spot on, it's what I keep saying but seems to be ignored! He needs to go but Tony and the board may not be able to take the risk. They will have to consider the implication of doing so and not surviving. That could be disastrous and they will look at all aspects.
In my opinion, if Hughes isn't sacked by the end of next week then he will be here for the season (and we'll be going down with him).
I'm sure the shareholders can afford it, but if he's running this as a proper business he won't be funding it out of his own pocket. Depends if they have budgeted for it in the club's finances, and their perception of the risk - if they think we are doomed already, why bother, especially if they have a clause in Hughes' contract allowing them to get rid at no cost if we go down. I expect they are in a state of shock - even the most negative of us never dreamed of being winless after 12 games. If they dig into their own pockets, is it a gift to the club or a loan. Spending so far is obviously levered against future premier league income...catch 22........we are in a really difficult position, glad it's not my money.

Twitter rumour (and we all know how good they are) is that the board are meeting with Hughes this afternoon. Maybe just for tea and scones and to catch up on how the kids are. It gives me hope though that maybe...just maybe something will happen later.

Only managing to hang on to Premiership status by the skin of our teeth thanks to Bolton losing on the last game of the season plus not managing to win a game this season isn't exactly going to go at the top of your CV. He tried at Citeh when he had bundles given to him but was hoofed out of the job when the new arab owner took over. Pops down to Foolham but finds the shop keeper won't spend money on anything apart from statues and leaves because they are not matching his ambition. Rolls up at QPR to replace Warnock now that the new owners have settled in and his record since then has been shocking. Who would touch him with a barge pole?
