I was born into it and if you could me down the middle I would be red and white through and through..
Family from Penshaw and Shiney row, I was born and bred in Durham and supported Liverpool!! From an early age cos they were the best team ha. By the age of 10 I'd seen the light and was converted to Sunderland which is why I've been miserable for the last 27 years!
Aye but I have friends that support all sorts of teams we have the glory seekers sorry I mean Man Utd I have the scum that are Newcastle which is about everyone in my school
I have to work with them mate some are fine but, most are the usual gobshite deluded toerags we see on here from time to time, hold your ground mate. p.s. get to school or i'll tell your fatha
Why do I support Sunderland ? That's a question I've asked myself many times over the years ! Basically Sunderland born and bred, lived in Silksworth and Doxy Park until I left home to join up. Went to my first game v Stoke City in 1966 and it's been in my blood ever since ! Now in my 50's and becoming increasingly disillusioned with football generally and SAFC in particular. Years of under achieving and the financial cost is slowly but surely draining away my enthusiasm !
Well mate my brothers two sons and there family are all black and white I say Sunderland till I die they don't bother me
Born in Shields, which was in Durham back then, like Sunderland. Plus dad is a fan, as is my uncle Bill, who I still go to games with. Mum's side of the family (Gateshead) are all mags though. Ironically, my uncle Don wants nowt to do with either SAFC or NUFC and is a Shields fan, big time. Very strange...
Blood - runs all through my mothers family and her fathers before her. Her kin are all south of the Tyne from felling, hebburn, Jarrow. I was born out in the durham sticks but safc blood Is a damn sight thicker than water.....for most I also know of a few lads who were Safc fans when we were kids, but who switched to the cartoon army during their pomp. Always thought they were pussies anyway, which they obviously turned out to be. Nee backbone.
