Oh Dear - He's Back On Toon With First Team

Oh dear ... Nile Ranger is training with the first team again at Newcastle United.

The troubled striker has yet to feature this season due to off-the-field problems with Alan Pardew ... as the player refused to turn up for training on time.

Frustrated Pardew had Ranger train with the Youth team, rather than the first team squad, until he proved he could have a run of good punctuality.
Ranger was drafted back into the first-team pool - not because he has become an angel - but due to lack of numbers this week.
But it was suggested this week "It would be a cold day in Hell before Ranger comes back into first-team contention."
Mike Ashley wants the player off the books, hoping to get £1m for the striker.
But only Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday have been interested, and neither will cough up a fee.

I really dislike this bloke. He's like a fart in an astronaut suit... impossible to get rid of.
Mike should forget a about a £1m fee and offer him for nothing.
On his supposed £4k pw wages most Champioship clubs should be able to afford surely?

What l cannot understand is this... If l continually turned up late for work and my behaviour outside my job brought my employers into disrespect, then l would be subject to a disciplinary process.
If l continued with my negative behaviour and improvements were not achieved and maintained l would be dismissed without notice or compensation.
Surely Ranger has digressed enough times to warrant his contract being terminated, or is it the case that Ashley wants some compensation by way of a fee from another club. I suspect other possibly lower league clubs would be interested, but l doubt many would want to risk paying to take him on.
At the end of the day we let Joey Barton go on a free as he was more trouble than he was worth. Now l am not saying that Rangers antics match some of the stunts Barton pulled, but Ranger and Newcastle would be better off
    with this kid elsewhere.

Ranger is far worse than Barton was. At least while Barton was with us anyway.

I'm gutted that the bloke is such a c*ck, genuinely thought he looked a better prospect than Carroll.

Give him away, at least it'll save the £4k a week.

Had the talent. His shooting needed work but in terms of hold up play, he belied his age and was one of the best I've seen in terms of that at that age. Shame he is such a cock. I'm struggling to see the point in retaining as we may as well save the 4k as AB says.

In all honesty I'd play him because we need to freshen things up and he has talent- Shola is a ncie guy but he simply will never do it on the pitch.

actually thinking about it, it would cost £800k is to pay up the remaining part of his contract... if I were Mike I'd pay him up and kick him out.
I'd rather see one of our academy kids get a start than that twat.

If he played it would send out the wrong message, diminish Pardew's authority and damage morale in my opinion. He either bucks up or we get shot, be interesting to know if he's been getting in on time lately, low on numbers or not I doubt Pardew would have let him train with the first team if he was still ignoring club rules.

Not if we win it wouldn't

i dont care what people do as long as they do it on the pitch

Bobby robson said that about Bellamy

It's a risk but so is sticking with the way things are!!! dont think we cant get relegated like the last time we played this bad.

Maybe somebody sees something else in him other than his performances on the pitch.
