I apologise to all those who have been telling me and others that Hughes should go whilst I have been maintaining that he needs time.

I could not have been proved more comprehensively wrong.

Week by week we now see regress, not progress.

Today was the final straw for me. I'm afraid some one has to take the blame for that debacle and that some one is Mark Hughes.

Sorry Mark. Thanks for trying and I don't believe you anticipated this but we are dismal and the buck stops with you.

Goodbye and good luck to you but please just go. Hughes out!

Your apology will be accepted if you can do anything to guarantee his exit.

No need to apologise, some were calling for him to be sacked far too early, without thoroughly considering what that might mean for the club.
I had backed him until today as well, but i think it's finally fair to say that the current setup has been given a fair crack of the whip.

Absolutely incorrect. I called for his sacking after the swansea game as the pre season had obviously been wasted! Was that too early??? OBVIOUSLY NOT as its gone from bad to worse! He has had way too long to destroy our club with stupid people saying give him more time!!

I think that's a bit unfair, I started in august and gave much the same opinions that I still hold.

This is a case in point. You'd seriously sack Hughes after the Swansea game? Makes me think you see a sacking as a 'magic wand'. It'll be really disruptive and expensive and could lead to sinking the the club. Our infrastructure is built around him and his staff. We've suffered with superfluous players on the books for a long time, a new manager will lead to a raft of new signings. Results might not even improve.
Unfortunately at the moment it looks like relegation is the alternative, so it's finally worth a go. Sacking is the lesser of two evils. It won't be pleasant though

Magic wand?????? I have made my views clear on Hughes from the start and i have been proven right. Yes i would have sacked him and i would have put money on us at least winning one game under any caretaker manager. Your points are ridiculous and only now at this stage could it truly be harmful to the club!!

No need to apologise, we got a lot of **** from other posters and I dont think he was one of them. I dont get any satisfaction for being right, the only satisfaction Ill get is when he goes.

I still think its a month too late, the new man should have been given Reading and Saints at home.

Some people talk about stability, mentioning Alec Ferguson and how he was given time, and look at how well he has done, but you can't compare Mark Hughes with Alec Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Dario Gradi, or any other long term and successful coaches/managers he has failed again like he did to a certain extent and Manchester City (If given Money to spend, he does not bring the results required and therefore he has to go and go now).

How are my points ridiculous, please explain? Wanting to sack Hughes after the swansea game doesn't mean you've been "proven right". Are you flavio in disguise? Wanting to sack someone the club has put huge financial investment in before they've had a chance to prove themselves is madness.

I can abide with you on this RTID. It took me until the Reading game to realise that I'm a HICCaholic. I'm now pleased to say that I have been clean for two weeks and today's performance has re-enforced my choice. Do we need a poll to establish that we will have a 100% return on this?

Not one game into the season, no <yikes> That would have been an even more ridiculous/uneducated decision than it would be to persevere with him now.

Eh? Would it really. OBVIOUSLY it wouldn't have been!! No point debating further as you obviously thought sacking him back then would have been a bad idea. Keeping him has proven to be even worse. Very simple to understand but i obviously saw something that you didn't. End of.
