terrific result today and a very good performance although sadly i was relegated to streaming it due to lack of cash. I thought we were doomed from the word go when i opened my stream and Dilligaf's ugly mug is on the screen!

I was very pleased with the work we did going forward today, i thought Shechter had a good game, he worked really hard, kept it simple when he should have most of the time and made some intelligent runs. Lacked that final touch of quality but very decent performance i thought. Also felt Michu was a different player from last week today, i didnt think being false 9 suited him away last week and he was much more effective today, linked well, fed the ball into the right areas for Shechter and took his goal superbly. Only shame was he didnt bury the big chance on 75 mins and was obv disappointed to come off but the sub for Graham made total sense to me.

Defensively i felt we did alright too. Tbh i think Newcastle were fairly poor by their standards, i've seen them a few times this season and they've looked better than that every time, but i felt we contributed heavily to that. Thought Ash did alright against Ba and the chance he missed early in the second half was well offside.

Just thought there was lots of hard work today and from some guys that you wouldnt expect to be first in the queue to run their miles. Special mention to the left back Davies, thought he did really well against Ben Arfa and we were just generally quite decent defensively and was a little disappointed to not have a clean sheet to show for it, but 3 great points and well done to the lads who got up there to see it!

Is that our first ever win at St James' Park? Great all round shift there today, thought Michu, Britton, Dyer, Shechter, and Ben Davies where outstanding, man we are starting to click very nicely now, that's one hell of a result!..................

I thought Shechter offered us something different. He should have scored one but blasted over, lad put in a good shift. I was worried about Leon being booked so early but fair play never shirked a tackle. Good performances by all in my book.

Leon had an off game by his standards today IMO, not sure what to make of Itay, maybe give him another start, what is important is that michu MUST play in the hole not up front, ido feel we have lost points by playing him up front as it was clear today how much he influences our attacking play from deep.

A lesson learned by Laudrup i think. when the shape changed later i dont see a problem with it for containing teams but if we want to win i dont think he should be up front, today proved that for me

Awesome result and really proud of the team, there were lots of positives to take and im chuffed for Laudrup, the boys will be bouncing for Liverpool at home next week, it could get messy, everyone will be up for it !!

I fancied Shechter to start, and was pleased he did, seems Graham is falling well down the pecking order, Had us down for a 2-1 win on the Match thread on the Toon board (Good bunch of lads on there), and was pleased with that result. I have never rated Pardew, and it seems the honeymoon is over, Laudrup has out smarted him today very nicely. Man do we have a legend in Laudrup boys!................<cheers>

Come on now Phil, I put this in the OP for you! Newcastle v Swans Head to Head - http://www.newcastleunited-mad.co.uk...ch/index.shtml

It looks to be our fourth win at Newcastle, the last one being in 1980/81

An outstanding result for the Swans. To go to one of the major stadiums in the UK and win comfortably is a huge achievement. I thought we passed the ball around in the second half for fun and could have scored three or four. Newcastle passed it like a hot potato and I think will struggle until at least Christmas.

Wan*er of the Week - Phil Thompson on SKY. When asked for his reviews all he could say was that we took advantage of Newcastles injuries. Michel Vorm? Neil Taylor? Ki? He gets paid a lot of money to spout such garbage.

To all the Swans away fans - Well done lads. Enjoy the journey home!!! Dill - if you are pi**ed, at least you will be sober by the time you get back to Jackland <ok>

We've worn that kit twice in the league this season. Two wins, scored 7, conceded 1.
    Just sayin' like.

There is no room for soft spots! As long as there are three teams below us in May it doesn't matter who they are!

Saw Michaels post match interview-he said the F word and it did not sound false! We were FANTASTIC on the counter attack. He said that this was a better result than our games at QPR and Liverpool and we created 8/9 big chances. TOP MAN !!!!!!

I thought Davies defended well but his distribution was poor early on, shekter did well and I reckon he deserves another start.

All agreed on Michu then? It was a nice idea to play Michu up front but he marshals our midfield playing from deep and likes to have the ball as much as possible.

I think Pablo was absolutely outstanding today, the way he runs with ball but keeps his head up is the mark of a VERY good player - Laudrupesque in fact!

Tremmel and Monk deserve a mention too for coming in recently and not looking like rotation players. Monk has brought the best out of Richards by taking the Captaincy from him and doing all the shouting. Maybe Ash is better defending instead of leading the team AND defending.

Routledge looked very confident today and had some nice cheeky touches.

Fantastic result against a very physical and direct team playing at home in one of the best stadiums in the country. We had the better quality chances, helped by the Toon defence no doubt (Krul looked short of confidence after a the good start he had for some reason and that williamson guy is the worst defender I've ever seen at this level).
