Yep, but he went for a PR coup instead of making a decision based on football.

First Joyce, then when that failed he went for "fan's favourite" Barmby.

See Clough at Derby too for a decision made on PR rather than football, how's that working out for them?

You think Adam told Assem who to appoint as manager and that's why Nick was appointed.

    Seriously?

Well yeah. He was 'Director of Football Operations' at the time.

You constantly tell us what AP wasn't responsible for, what was he actually responsible for in your eyes?

By the time Nick was appointed, AP wasn't directing anything, he was being completely ignored.

As for what he was responsible for - Getting us out of the bottom two leagues, into a new stadium and then coming back when your mates had ****ed the job up and finding someone willing to save the club(and if you want me to balance it with something **** that he was responsible for, you can have Dowie).

I just find it hard to believe that AP had nothing to do with his mate Barmby getting the top job, and that the Allams sacked them both at the same time when it was their independent decision to employ Barmby. I also find it hard to believe that the Allams who knew nothing about football at the time went for Warren Joyce of their own accord. It has Pearson's fingerprints all over it.

As for the second paragraph, you know we have differing opinions on Pearson's second spell so I hope you can forgive me for not wanting to go through that again.

There's no doubt that Nick and Adam's friendship worked against them in the end and I think the Allam's began to see them as part of the same entity, hence the double sacking. I think they went for Joyce, for the same reason they wanted to sign Sharp, people around them said it was a good idea(I think towards the end, they took far more notice of sponsors, than they did of AP).

The only prediction I've made this season. Quitting while I'm ahead.

We've only got Palarse left from the top six to play away from home, having already visited Cardiff Boro Lesta and Blackburn.
