Why, oh why, did it take so long to do this?

Fill your boots, and let Bates and the new guys know this is the way to go.

Even with the discount though it still works out at over £20 per game and with the Chelsea game in between, i cant see this boosting attendances too much, unless bates is gone

£19 per game. Yes it is still too high, but it shows that there is someone thinking about flexibility

Think the powers that be are panicking. I've always said boycotting games would produce results off the pitch. Recent drops in attendance to below 20k are obviously setting off alarm bells with Bates or gfh or whatever. Doubt if a fiver discount though is going to attract many back at this stage, the rot has firmly set in methinks

I believe they can turn it round if they offer to reduce season ticket prices by 20% as long as 16000 sign up by end January, and set match day prices at a straight £8 for kids (£150 season ticket), £18 for adults in Kop, Family, Upper East, corners and South Stand (£350 season ticket), and £25 in West Stand and centre of East Stand (£500 season ticket).

Not formatted very well, but the figures (for league matches only; actual averages and numbers are guesstimates only) below show we can get more money in to the club as long as you set it up right - get a guarantee of 16000 season ticket holders by end Jan paying a specific price and we will exceed income that we have now, have a better atmosphere, people will feel they are getting vfm, and they will spend money, players will enjoy it more etc etc

I could get in to watch Huddersfield vs Brighton today for between £12 and £18 as a student, last season went to the Brighton game at Elland Road and paid £26 to sit in the South Stand as far as i remember. That huge difference certainly needs altering.

Also the opportunity for Seniors to buy matchday tickets in the West Stand and East Upper needs to be made available.
