Agree SC just responding to some insinuation that has been said.
My last comment did not relate to the first-might have looked that way.

Wow. Didn't realise that'd happened. How awful.

Still, on 40k a week, it can't be long before life is back to normal!!

The 'goal keeper' issues we are currently experiencing at Spurs,. boils down to unfortunate timimg IMO.

Not to have brought in another quality keeper to replacement Brad (who incidentally is well passed his footballers pension age) ultimately., might have amounted to football club suicide.

To bring in someone of Lloris undoubted ability and quality, just at a time when Brad hits yet another patch of form is/was unfortunate in the extreme for the Frenceman.

Few people know what persuaded him (Lloris) to sign for Spurs and what was expressed or implied at the meetings before acquiring his signature. We all know Lloris will eventually inheret the shirt but before that happens the press need to sell their stories.

Which raises another question....Should Spurs have waited 'till January to bring in another keeper ?
Was the risk of losing Lloris before ensuring his signature too great a risk to take under the circumstances at the time ?.

Yep SOS, as you say Hugo's been a lot better than Brad so far, and that's with the manager chipping away at his confidence. Imagine what he'd be like if we had a manager who backed him.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Lloris leave in the summer, he must be thoroughly disillusioned with life at the Lane.

"I feel much at ease at the club, where I have been very, very well received by the players, the fans and people at the club" Hugo Lloris.

If we go back to the summer when we had "the checklist" thread, the comments in there over a new keeper were in abundance. We knew that, the club knew that.

For once, we got it right and signed someone in the correct window. (A bit late, but still, better than waiting till jan to end up getting ripped off,or to find out he wasn't available)

Just read the posts RE Brad being bankrupt. Find it bemusing to see a player, who's probably earnt on average £30k a week over the past 15/20 years declare himself bankrupt.

Noticed on the Mirror article that he ran a non-profit football academy in USA but surely he should've noticed long before the £5m debts that it clearly wasn't going to work out financially for him?

I feel for him as what he was doing was great for a community but with the money he was/ is earning, he should've budgeted things a lot more carefully.

Totally unfair comment SoS. You do not know the details of the situation so are not in a position to make such judgments. You sound like the Daily Fail.
