Ibra's 4th goal - What possessed Hart to be out there! , 2 defenders were bearing down on the ball with ZI, leave them to it...wouldn't have happened with Brad in goal.
This ones not bad either...... http://t.co/XOwzQWq0 Footie is an amazing game. It ticks along - generally at a decent level, like any top sport - and then you get incidents like this: the equivilant of a one-off 3 minute mile or a triple century in 2 sessions of an Ashes test. It is that extraordinary. I love footie!!
Spot on G10. The academy staff deserve great praise for the way Caulker has developed. Whoever decided to send him on his respected loan spells must also have a special mention, each spell at Yeovil, Bristol and Swansea he blossomed and improved game by game and it was an important decision to make sure he joined the right clubs for his development. He won 4 out 5 POTY awards at Yeovil, YPOTY at Bristol City and was a nominee for their POTY and then Swansea fans flooded our boards of their praise for him and how they wanted him back. Well done academy staff and well done Caulker!
Yes, I've not been that impressed with Cahill. Looks like we saved ourselves a large amount of money there.
Think Cahill's a good centre back but given the choice of having Vertonghen or him, Vertonghen all day long.
Yeah, he's a decent player but he only looks like anything special when he's in a backs against the wall defensive unit that makes camp on the edge of their own 18 yard box and is covered by a deep lying midfield also, ie Chelsea
I thought Gerrard played a good game yesterday bringing in the youngsters around him. It was pleasure to see him WITHOUT Lampard. Caulker, Osman and Sterling all did well for me. Better passing from England than I have seen for some time.
And there I was thinking I was the only one....... Maybe I was watching a different match to everybody else. He made a few incisive passes but other than that looked slow, devoid of ideas and easily brushed off the ball. And looked like he went to the Paul Scholes School of Tackling. He's still young and I'm sure he will have a bright future in football but England squad? Please!
It was a makeshift side. Sterling is young, and got bullied a bit last night. But, he will learn. He clearly has talent. And yes, I agree with Spurf, I thought he contributed well to the passing that we did last night.
For what its worth even todays papers can't agree on Sterling, Telegraph say he played well and the Guardian said he looked lost after the early clattering from Olsson. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/nov/14/england-sweden-friendly-young-talent http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...cs-four-goals-as-they-lose-to-Sweden-4-2.html
