Danny Graham in Swans Development side last night, rarely starting in their first team, Malky knows him well from Watford where he was their top scorer, we need a good striker with Maynard out for the season. Swans could be in the market for extra strikers in January. Would Malky risk the fans wraith in signing a JB?

HHHHmmmmmm, am I reading too much into this?

A mate of mine was there last night and the general talk was around the above topic. Also, he has a work colleague who is a Swansea fan and there is a bit of a rumour there too.

For me, a proven record in the Championship (overall 1 in 3 strike rate since 2007 - 1 in 4 in Prem, a number from sub - better than Jerome and La Fondre who we talked about last week) and could be just the guy we need for the "Big Push"

Nothing yet on the Swans site where they have a January Transfer thread.

So guys, do we get over any "ex-Swans" stigma and support such a move?

    I say "Yes"!!!! <ok>

I'd take him too BfB, we've had a few Ex-Swans over the years Andy Legg probably the best.

I'd have him, no reason not to if he was available. With regard to the JB tag, what is the definition of a JB? If I was to refer to someone as a JB then the person would have been brought up in the Swansea area, a player from another region is merely a "Jack" as they will invariably move from the team in a relatively short space of time thereby redeeming themselves ;)

I'd take him without a second thought. Decent young Scottish striker!

    Sheep <doh>

According to Wiki, he's English, born in Gateshead and played once for England under 20's.

    Good positive replies so far.

He has been a bench warmer this season with few starts. Only scored once I think in the league so maybe they want to loan him out to keep him fit and interested. I was told he looked a bit overweight and sluggish last night.

Mind you they paid £3.5m for him only16 months ago so on a permanent basis I am sure Huw will want some return on his capital.

Against that they may need to make space both in the squad and financially for new players?

All rumour and conjecture at present but more positive than the 2 mentioned last week and he won't be on a fortune and he wouldn't have to move house in the short term.

Be interesting to hear some Swans thoughts on this. Aren't they waiting in the wings for an article like this....

From what I heard about him last night I wouldn't want him. Someone said about graham "I don't think he ran a mile all match". I would rather us loan a fringe player from the prem. Atleast then if he turns out to be a flop we haven't lost money.

I personally think we need a fast counter-attacking striker and a 'tank' in midfield (mutch might be the tank we are looking for but I haven't seen enough of him to tell).

The thing is folks, if we accept the swans cast off's, are we by definition accepting that they are the bigger club?
    Are we now accepting?

The Tank in midfield I agree with you n Firmpong from Arsenal wants to go on loan this week! And fits that role perfect!

Also as a replacement for Maynard I like Macheda or John Guidetti and like said on earlier post these are young fringe player who wouldn't cost us a bomb...I also like the looks of Jon Flanagan or Jack Robinson at Liverpool for cover for RB or LB

Unless Swansea buy a striker they won't let him go they only got Michu and Graham as far as I know as out and out Strikers with Lita already on loan

He is not a lazy player, in fact that is the reason he hasn't excelled in the Premier League. He tracks back to help out, and then isn't in position to recieve a cross etc. He thrives at CCC level, but I don't think he does is goal scoring capabilities any justice with his overall work rate - He just wants to help the entire squad than rather laze in the box and wait for the ball.

I would say attacking midfielder yes. He'sa natural goal scorer, but not at premier league level.

I think all this reflects how far ahead of us Swansea have become..............................regrettably. Graham would be an excellent signing but I doubt even our new owners would stump up the £4m needed to prise him away.

If any club stumps up £4m for him then the game really has lost the plot.

Seriousley? He's a weapon in the ccc. He's worth at least three million.
