So what is your lowest moment as a Toon supporter?

Mine has to be the relegation at Villa.... or the day Wor Bobby passed away.

mine has to be the League cup final followed by the FA cup finals

the League cup Final of 76 was my first visit to London, travelled through the night to
watch the game then have to travel back home again through the night
    absolutely shattered mentally and physically

Away to Stoke in FA Cup (0-0) or the Derby game not long before under Fat Sham. It was the cumulative effect of the whole season though. I had never watched us sink so low in terms of how we went about playing football. I use the term football loosely as it was more like Percentageball. After having seen KK and Sir Bobby rekindle the carpet football ethos of the club, and tap into what is a minimum requirement for me, it left me feeling angry and then gutted to see him steer us so far away from it.

I can take losing, I can even stomach relegation. I cannot stomach paying my hard earned cash to not at least be entertained and have something I can relate to. So many miserable weekends!

Watching Sundays game has to be close, but the '74 Cup Final when we stood in an unending queue at Central Station for ages and then were packed like sardines in the train with bodies laying all over the place, but all high on expecting to win the game and then not competing. It was pure hell!

1976 League Cup Final against Man City. Dennis Tueart broke my heart.
It was a long journey home.

Sacking Sir Bobby Robson was the lowest our club has ever stooped. Felt so bad about that at the time and still cringe whenever it is mentioned.
Followed a close second by the relegation game at Villa and Shearer's humiliation. Just bloody awful.

There are so many moments to chose from...

    My Top Five, however;

    5. Kieran Dyer and Bowyer fight and get sent off, Villa trash us.
    4. One nil up versus Fulham at half time, second half they score 5
    3. Going to the 5-1 defeat to Birmingham in the FA Cup with my Brummy supporting dad.
    2. Being abused by a Villa fan at a cinema in Scotland after relegation and I had my Newcastle coat on.
    1. And the worst of all... DT's first half of watching football. Newcastle 0-4 Arsenal...

No, I just apologised profusely for the entire half-time period for taking her to watch the biggest pile of cack known to man...

Fortunately I think she was pretty oblivious to what 4-0 at half time means, owing to her previous favourite sport being American soccer (screw them, ours is football, there's is a drunken/incest induced misunderstanding of rugby, they can have the crap name!), so maybe she was expecting the game to resemble a basketball score...

Going out to AZ was pretty low, especially considering we were 4-0/ up at one point!

Cup final defeat to The Arse in 98. Watched it on holiday in Florida in the middle of 50 writhing Cockneys. Just horrible.

Was at that game, all the Arsenal fans felt genuinely sorry for us fans. Getting pats on the back all the way out of the ground and all the way to the tube station.
