So... conversely what is your biggest high as a Toon supporter?

For me it has to be either:

1- the 5-0 against Man Utd
2- the 5-1 against the Mackems

    How about you?

    1. 4-2 Monday night game in the rain against Sheff Wed. To this day I've never heard St James as loud and easily one of the best moments in my life.
    2. 5-0 Man U. Disbelief and utter joy.
    3. 5-1 Sunderland. You're very lucky to experience such a derby in your lifetime as far as I'm concerned.

the 8-0 against Sheff Wed and the start for Sir Bob <ok>

throw in a couple of howkings that we dished out to the Spuds especially the 7-1
(couldn't understand why Keegan said that this was the moment that made him turn his back on footie)

any win against your rivals is special though

good shout for the 8-0 game. I remember it well. Big Al was reinstated, told not to play with his back to the goal and scored 5!!! we were second from bottom to Wednesday too and that was the beginning of Bobby's ride.

the 6-0 against Villa has to be up there somewhere. Back in the big time, getting revenge on the odious beings that doomed us

Good shout on Sheff Wed, but sitting behind the goal as Kevin nodded in for the hat trick against the unwashed was as special of a moment as I ever have or ever will experience I'd imagine..

3-2 Barcelona is the one for me. That was the loudest I can recall St James' in my 50+ years of supporting the Toon.

Not nearly as important as all of the postings above, but personally I have never been as simply happy at a football match as when Enrique scored

The 5-0 against Man Utd when Scmeichel was recognised as being the #1 keeper and could only watch motionless as Albert chipped him for the 5th goal. I was sitting right in line with him as he turned and looked to his right and watch the ball go floating past him and the look on his face was worth the ticket money alone.

A memory that will stay with me forever.

Sheffield Wednesday one is up there, but I always liked Toon in the champions league especially the game against Feyernoord.

Ah, Feyenoord. Started off cruising to victory and the knockout stage. Pegged back to hanging on for dear life to UEFA Cup drop out status, and staring outright european elimination in the face. Last minute with Dyer with the ball in the box, and the sick certainty that he was going to botch it. Watching Dyer botch it, but then Bellamy's pinball goal and suddenly all is again well in the world.

Yeah, that was a good night.

    My top 5;

    1. The second half of DT's first game of football. Newcastle 4-4 Arsenal...
    2. Newcastle 5-1 Sunderland
    3. Papiss goal vs Chelsea... And my awkward attempt at putting my shirt over my head celebration
    4. Qualifying from our champs league group against the odds
    5. Newcastle 2-0 Liverpool, Enrique should have played in nets for a big club!

For me the victory against Rangers in Fairs Cup, the ground was afire with supporters from both sides and I have never experienced a night like it since.

Where you at that Chelsea game? I ended up on the deck with about 20 bodies on top of me when Cisse came over to the board to celebrate with the fans.

<laugh> Unfortunately not! I was watching on a crap link with my brother in our living room. Cisse swung his leg and it soared in a fashion that made my brother minimize the screen to go to check his e-mails, only stopping due to my "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL" and the unstoppable orgasm face that followed...

Probably a good job I wasn't one of the ones jumping on you...

Great goal, almost unbelievable, and of course unforgettable because of the flattening I got.

Got to say all the games mentioned have been brilliant games but for me the only one can be beating Man Utd 5-0. Especially after the Premier League title the previous season and the 4-0 defeat we suffered in the Charity Shield a couple of months earlier.
