I'm starting the match day thread very early this time because of a Weed request please log in to view this image v please log in to view this image So here we go again with match day on Sunday this time pushed back for live Sky Sports coverage with a 1.15 kick off at home to Neil Warnock's Leeds United side without a win in their last 6 games visiting us unbeaten in 9 games with four wins & five draws, this is a game I fully expect us to win and I should think that banter aside you'd think that the Weeds would be happy to get anything from this game given their abysmal form. We're nine places and three points above Leeds in the league, we've played Leeds 12 times in the league at home with us winning 6 times, Leeds winning four times & two draws, we've scored 19 goals in in those games and Leeds have scored 15 times. http://www.365stats.com/football/team/millwall http://www.365stats.com/football/team/leeds-united http://www.365stats.com/football/league/english-championship Leeds are there for the taking so COYL lets make it 10 unbeaten with another 3 points............ Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
I wouldn't take a point in honesty. Again, banter aside I think we should be able to win this game. We have been in abysmal form though and Warnock is a **** manager
For some strange reason i can only see this game being a draw, although if we are going on form Leeds are there for the taking, not won in the last 6 games, suspensions, without the red nosed one(Rodolph) and just been spanked by Watford, while Millwall are unbeaten in 9 games, full of confidence and scoring regularly, this game will be decided in the first 30 minutes, if Millwall go straight for the jugular and get an early goal or two they will win comfortably, however if Leeds dictate the pace and style of the game it will end up being a drab draw with few chances for either side.
i think Warnock will play a defencive side all men behind the ball and ply the same tactics he did in the last 20 mins of our last game at the den, with players rolling around on the floor all over the place and wasting time, So i think Ringo might be right it could be a drab nightmare i also think hes right in the fact that if we score early then youll have to change your tactics and come and try to play football in which case we will beat you comfortably MY big concern is last season just before playing us you were spanked by Forest, This time youve been spanked by Watford Deja-vu ? i hope not.
Heyup wop i think you maybe right, they will not want to be embarrassed two weeks on the trot, just lets hope its a good game with us getting the best of 5 in thi ol onion sack, **** knows who's going to score them for us
WID iv been taking the piss out of varney for his missed sitter all week So he will probibly score a 30 yrd. scorcher against us
Morning all. Leeds certainly won't want to get spanked again. In some respoects, the scoreline on Saturday didn't reflect the true state of the game. Be that as it may, we got hammered & we will be missing key players for the 'Wall match. Haven't read anything yet, but I have a feeling that one or two lonees out may be coming back, Ross might just put in a cameo, & we might even get a couple of new players in as loanees with purchase options come January. Think it will be a difficult game. But I also think we'll get it together and scrape home 2-1. Prepare to visit the nail removal doctor people. It promises to be a nail biting game!!
Already beaten Yorkshires finest 4-0 so would not be happy with anything less than 3pts. I would fully expect a reaction after last weeks result to Watford but things don't always work out that way. Will Warnock look for caution and keep us quiet? Personally I think that would be the wisest option because if you choose to play football against us we will hit you on the break and an open game will be a wall win IMO.
Even if we did somehow win 3-0 it would only be papering over the cracks. The real turning point will be when Bates finally ****s off
Always look forward to Leeds games on the box but not anymore Im afraid. Best we ecer seem to manage is a scrambling draw and hard to see this being any different
Anyone think Millwall are good odds on Sunday at evens? Not a bad bet considering both teams' form and given the fact we have injuries and suspensions to key players, in what is the smallest squad in the Championship.
